MOUZ and Team Falcons have become fast rivals, and their next match will take place in ESL Pro League Season 21âs group stage.
Team Falcons rebuilt its Counter-Strike roster by sacking Heroic, and itâs looking like that was a strong move. After more than a year of being a punchline among CS2 fans, the bird team finally looks the part of an elite-level organization.
It still hasnât won a tournament, though, thanks to MOUZ. So what will happen here, as they face off in ESL Pro League Season 21?
GRAND FINAL! MOUZ vs Falcons – HIGHLIGHTS – PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 | CS2
The Counter-Strike 2 teams of MOUZ and Team Falcons will face off in a best-of-three match in ESL Pro League Season 21âs second group stage. Both won their first match of the event, against Furia and Team Liquid, respectively.
MOUZ shook off a pair of tough outings in IEM Katowice 2025 and the BLAST Bounty Spring qualifiers by winning PGL Cluj-Napoca. That reasserted MOUZ as one of CS2âs best. It established that already with a top-four showing at the Shanghai Major and second-place finish at IEM Rio 2024.
Over the last three months, MOUZ has a roughly 50-50 record on Ancient, Inferno, and Mirage. It has gone 3-0 on Dust 2 during that time and won its lone match on Train. Its best map is Nuke, where it has a 6-3 record.
Falcons put together a new roster in January by releasing everyone except for Magisk, acquiring G2 Esportsâ NiKo, and scooping up the core of Heroic. The team looked shaky initially, but seemingly gelled at PGL Cluj-Napoca en route to a second-place finish. Here is its current roster:
Dust 2 is Falconsâ best map thus far, with the current roster having a 7-4 record. Every other map is roughly 50-50. This team is still nascent though, so âroughly 50-50â is just 3-2 or 2-1. Thereâs not enough sample size to figure out where Falcons is at its best; though the team clearly likes Dust 2.
WINNER TO PLAYOFFS! MOUZ vs Falcons â HIGHLIGHTS – PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 | CS2
Team Falconsâ current roster played against MOUZ twice in PGL Cluj-Napoca. Falcons scored a big upset win over MOUZ in the group stage, but MOUZ got revenge in the finals by taking a 3-1 victory.
MOUZ is regarded as a modest favorite over Team Falcons. The moneylines stand at 1.74 vs 2.07, giving bettors quite a bit of flexibility.
MOUZ has the edge over Team Falcons on paper, with a larger body of work and stronger results. Any bets on Falcons are still prospective in nature, and are largely based on the teamâs strong performance in PGL Cluj-Napoca. That may or may not have been an aberration but even if it wasnât, MOUZ is still a high-tier CS2 team.
