Very few would have guessed at the website’s founding that Twitch streamers would one day be watched for millions upon millions of hours by a massive global audience. But Twitch, and livestreaming in general, have grown immensely since those early days. And the most-watched Twitch streamer of all time has himself clocked nearly a billion watch hours on the platform.

Twitch has a massively diverse roster of streamers who stream everything from gaming content to politics, from IRL streams to live music. The platform has transformed for a place that was exclusively about sharing video game action to a livestreaming hub hosting all types of content creators. While some of the top Twitch streamers are well-known due to their broad and viral popularity, others have achieved great viewership despite still not being recognized in the mainstream world, and the types of content the platform’s most popular names have produced has been quite varied.

The most-watched Twitch streamers of all time each share one common trait: their commitment to content creation, as reflected in the number of views their streams have received.

Felix “xQc” Lengyel

xQc is famous today for a variety of reasons, including for his betting and casino streams that have made him one of the most popular gambling streamers in the industry. But the content creator’s streams initially revolved around gaming and reaction content when he debuted in 2015, and he still focuses on those niches when he broadcasts on Twitch.

To many observers, xQc seemingly appeared out of nowhere as he rocketed up in success in 2021 and overtook Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar, becoming the most-watched Twitch streamer overall. But xQc’s origins go back to his days as a professional Overwatch playing competing in the OWL. He was able to ride the massive popularity of Overwatch into an early streaming opportunity, and he quickly proved capable of curating an audience well beyond the boundaries of that game.

Since then, xQc has expanded his content and audience by also streaming on Kick, though he has made a seeming point of keeping in touch with his roots. The streamer consistently streams on Twitch and boasts the highest watch time of all time on the platform. xQc’s content has been watched on Twitch for around 900 million hours in total.

Alexandre “Gaules” Borba

Popular Portuguese-speaking streamer Gaules has long been famous among the esports crowd since his days as a professional Counter-Strike player, and today he has a massive Brazilian fan following. His content has heavily focused on Counter-Strike esports tournaments, providing Portuguese commentary and his unique insights as a former CS pro.

He transitioned into streaming after leaving his role as a professional coach, and he still broadcasts streams where he analyzes pro plays and gives his opinions on the game.

Gaules’ streaming style and personality are loved by viewers, which is a large contributor to his streams pulling in large viewership. The streamer reached the top five all-time most-watched Twitch streamers in 2021, and just a year later, took second place overall from Summit1g, cementing his popularity and his reach well beyond the confines of Counter-Strike.

Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar

Summit1g is himself a former Counter-Strike pro player who experienced middling success before transitioning to streaming other games like Grand Theft Auto, Fortnite, and Escape From Tarkov after formally ending his esports career. That transition proved a wise one, as his laid-back personality and high-skill gameplay proved a potent cocktail for live audiences on Twitch.

He has been consistently streaming a greater variety of titles ever since achieving his great popularity, as well IRL streams and other collaborations. The streamer seemingly peaked in 2020, when Summit1g managed to carve out a spot as the most-watched Twitch streamer on the platform.

Even with his no longer holding that lofty title, Summit1g still creates content and streams to big audiences on Twitch. While his popularity has waned slightly over the years, he is still at the number three spot of the all-time most-watched Twitch streamers with well over 600 millions hours watched, an impressive feat by any measure.

Ibai “Ibai” Llanos Garatea

Ibai is a hugely popular Spanish-speaking streamer and esports personality who is also the co-founder of top esports organization KOI, which has its hands in a variety of games and has seen prominent success in League of Legend esports, among others. The content creator has a massive audience, and has been most notably evidenced by Ibai breaking Twitch’s concurrent viewership records during his La Velada del Año events.

Ibai has been consistently streaming since around 2015, but it was Ibai’s special events that really put him over the top and earned him a place among the most-watched streamers of all time on Twitch. His content is still going strong today, and while others have matched and surpassed some of his records, he’s still not showing any signs of slowing down.

Kai Cenat

Kai Cenat is a relatively new addition to both the Twitch platform overall and this to this list specifically, when compared to the other veterans who make up the top five. But Kai earned the distinction of being Twitch’s most-watched streamer in 2025, and his success has already propelled him to heights that few other streamers have ever reached.

He first appeared in the streaming space in 2021, and by 2024 he had easily surpassed the likes of historically prominent streamers Hasan “HasanAbi” Parker and Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff while increasing his record Twitch following year after year.

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon subathon events are a huge contributor to his popularity and hours watched. Kai Cenat was able to win multiple awards at The Streamer Awards 2025, a culmination of his great success in content creation.

The streamer eventually went on a months-long streaming break after Mafiathon 3 ended, but he has already done enough to make him one of the most-watched Twitch streamers of all time.
