The ongoing LEC Spring split is almost done, and only three teams remain. While G2 Esports has already established itself as the strongest so far with a guaranteed spot in the grand final, Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp will battle it out on the big stage for a chance to reach where G2 is. Qualification for MSI and potentially this year’s Esports World Cup are on the line, so the stakes are high.

MKOI vs Karmine Corp match overview

Betting tip: MKOI and Karmine Corp have been going neck-and-neck so far, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the match goes to a fifth game.

Our MKOI vs Karmine Corp pick: Total maps to be over 4.5 at 2.53 odds.

MKOI vs Karmine Corp match analysis

Karmine Corp’s performance in the regular season was extremely strong, and the team hasn’t slowed down since. Between its reliable early skirmishes and clean objective setups, the team has dominated matches against the likes of Team Vitality and even gotten a close victory against MKOI.

It’s no surprise that Caliste is KC’s long-standing win condition. The ADC has high carry potential, especially with Yike’s constant support from the jungle. While Canna’s performance occasionally leaves much to be desired in the top lane, MKOI’s Myrwn is on the same boat. Movistar KOI’s dominance is usually seen in the mid-game, especially with Jojopyun and Elyoya’s mid-jungle synergy.

MKOI’s biggest weakness is definitely its early game instability, where the team usually falls behind early and gives up the first objectives. Paired with KC’s strong early strategies, there’s a strong chance that KC may get some early kills. Because of this, it may be a good idea to side with KC securing first blood.

As for the match itself, it’ll likely be the closest thing to a coin toss the LEC has seen this split. Both teams have showcased excellent skills so far and are the favorites to win. However, MKOI is more adaptable and has a more diverse champion pool. This could ultimately give it the victory, even if it won’t be easy.

Since this match will be a best-of-five, it wouldn’t be surprising if KC secures the first two games before MKOI starts making a comeback. Taking the over on 4.5 maps may be the way to go here, especially considering the high potential return.
