This year’s Worlds tournament has been filled with ups and downs for many of its teams. In particular, T1 barely managed to make it to the tournament through the play-in and then found itself with two losses, as has MKOI. The two teams will now face off, with the winner qualifying for the knockout stage and the loser being eliminated.
Betting tip: T1 has been fairly inconsistent recently, which could give MKOI at least one game and take the match the distance.
Our MKOI vs T1 pick: Total maps to be over 2.5 @ 2.80.
MKOI vs T1 match analysis
T1 may have stumbled recently in the Worlds Swiss Stage, but the team managed to bounce back in later matches. Gumayusi and Keria are again proving reliable in the bottom lane, and Faker still impresses in the middle lane when he isn’t eating a solo kill. While MKOI’s Elyoya and Jojopyun are good players, they aren’t able to do much when their top laner is seemingly running it down. Because of that top-lane disadvantage, there’s a good chance that match favorite T1 will emerge as the victor.

MKOI’s single biggest advantage is itsmore diverse champion pool. Faker and Oner don’t effectively play many champions, and taking advantage of this may let MKOI win at least one game. This one win would take the best-of-three series the distance. The match having more than 2.5 maps is a pick with a solid return, so it may be a good idea to bank on it here.
T1’s early game may be strong, but the team’s players have been playing more slowly and deliberately ever since Oner was constantly caught in his own jungle in the tournament’s early games. MKOI may take advantage of this and secure the first kill, which is another pick with high return potential. As for jungle objectives, recent matches suggest that T1 will secure the first dragon, Baron, and Atakhan, giving the team needed momentum to close out from there.

MKOI vs T1 betting picks & predictions
LEC teams haven’t really done much to impress fans, apart from G2 Esports qualifying for the knockout stage relatively early. MKOI’s international performance level has never been the team’s strong point, and it likely won’t deliver when facing T1. The LCK squad’s recent match against FlyQuest suggested that the team isn’t as strong as expected, and this could at least let MKOI get one game before it ultimately bids farewell to this year’s LoL Worlds event.
Best picks
Total maps to be over 2.5 @ 2.80: T1’s unreliable performance and limited champion pool may let MKOI win one game.
MKOI to get first blood @ 2.10: MKOI’s status as the
underdog
may force it to be more aggressive from the start, potentially netting it first blood.
T1 to get the first Baron @ 1.38: Oner is a much more objective-focused jungler than is Eloyoya, making T1 the team to side with when it comes to securing the first Baron.
