European professional League of Legends teams all suffered from poor performance in the first round of the 2025 Worlds Swiss stage. While G2 has managed to bounce back to an extent, the same can’t be said for either MKOI or Fnatic, both of whom have lost twice in succession. Fortunately for them, the two teams will now have a shot at getting at least one win by facing off against each other.

MKOI vs Fnatic match analysis
MKOI’s performance in its last LEC split was solid, with the team reaching the grand final before losing to G2. But the team’s performance wasn’t overly impressive, and the same applies to Fnatic, the team that finsihed third in the split. The gap between G2 Esports and the other LEC teams was fairly prominent then and still seems to be significant now, but Fnatic and MKOI have showcased that they’re close in terms of skill. This suggests that the match could go to a third game, making betting on there being over 2.5 maps a potentially good idea.

G2 and MKOI’s match in the ongoing Worlds Swiss stage saw MKOI’s top laner and mid laner both perform badly. While Supa and Eloyoya did what they could as the ADC and jungler, MKOI’s performance seemingly plummets during international matches. By contrast, while Fnatic’s performance was also poor, the team suffered more for playing passively as a unit. This likely won’t be the case against MKOI, a team Fnatic has already faced multiple times this year.
Fnatic’s Poby is a reliable mid laner, and his recent performance has been more impressive than that of MKOI’s Jojopyun. Upset is also an excellent ADC, and while both teams’ junglers can be coin flips, Fnatic may be the team to win here.
As for the early game, MKOI is usually more organized and strategic in its initial approach, and this could give KOI the first bloods.

MKOI vs Fnatic betting picks & predictions
Both European professional teams have let their fans down multiple times already, but MKOI’s performance on the international stage has deteriorated across this year’s MSI, EWC, and the two matches it’s played in Worlds. This trend of the team losing its nerves and getting tilted when things go poorly will likely amplify with elimination on the line, potentially giving Fnatic a close win and sending it to the next round.
Best picks
- Fnatic to win the match @ 2.35: MKOI’s recent performance has been terrible and Fnatic’s stronger mid and bottom lanes could give Fnatic a close win.
- Total maps to be over 2.5 @ 1.88: Fnatic and MKOI are close in skill, which suggests the match will go the distance.
- MKOI to get first blood @ 1.80: MKOI’s tactical approach to the early game before the team tilts in the middle to late game may give it the first blood.
