Is Mizkif leaving Twitch for Kick?
Mizkif tweeted a video informing fans that he’ll be moving to a Kick channel, and he also posted a caption bidding farewell to Twitch, indicating that he’s likely completely switching platforms.
Streamer Mizkif uploaded a Star Wars-themed video, where he’s seen battling people with lightsabers. The video didn’t share many details other than displaying his Kick channel handle and revealing that he will go live on the platform for the first time on December 17. The content creator also said goodbye to Twitch “forever,” but it remains to be seen whether he’ll actually stream exclusively on Kick or if he might one day return to Twitch.

There was a time when streamers migrating from Twitch to Kick had become a regular occurrence, as Kick became known for offering lucrative exclusivity contracts. Lately, multiple popular Twitch streamers, most notably including Zach “Asmongold” Hoyt, have started
multistreaming on Kick
rather than changing platforms entirely. Mizkif may also eventually stream on both platforms to enjoy the best of both worlds, but his current statement reflects that he will only appear in Kick for the foreseeable future.
Fans were quick to react to Mizkif’s announcement, with many questioning why the streamer is moving to the Stake-backed platform after criticizing Kick in the past. Mizkif had previously strongly denied plans to switch to Kick, even speaking critically of the
platform’s owners. But the streamer then took a Stake sponsorship and has now signed with Kick. These moves have surprised many, raising questions about Mizkif’s sudden and unexpected alignment with Kick.
Kick offers a highly competitive revenue split
to streamers, which is one of the biggest reasons many choose to stream there. The platform also encourages multistreaming, offering a lower but still reasonable revenue split if content creators don’t want to just stream exclusively on Kick. Viewers are also able to enjoy an ad-free experience on Kick, though CEO Eddie Craven has said that this may change in the future.
