This Mizkif response to Emiru has fans calling for a Twitch ban
Popular streamer Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo is embroiled in controversy once again after Emily “Emiru” Beth Schunk accused him of repetaedly harassing her, and the streamer has delivered a response that has fans and viewers demanding that Twitch ban him from the streaming platform.
Emiru was in the news recently for an unfortunate incident she went through at TwitchCon involving a fan. The streamer has since discussed the incident at length while also revealing some new information about fellow content creator Mizkif. Emiru has revealed that she was in a secret relationship with Mizkif in 2022, and that the relationship became toxic as the couple broke up, with Mizkif eventually harassing Emiru.
Mizkif has shared his side of the story, confirming some of Emiru’s allegations and making some claims of his own, but his response isn’t going over well across the web.
What did Emiru say about Mizkif?
Emiru has pointed allegations of harassment against Mizkif during and after the former couple’s relationship, including his refusing to leave her along after a break-up.
These claims have led to discussion about the streamer being generally insecure about his romantic partners potentially becoming more popular than him, as it has established something of a history of behavior.
Mizkif and Emiru began dating after the former streamer’s
breakup with fellow content creator Maya Higa, and the relationship was kept secret to avoid any public negativity. Emiru claims there were many issues in the relationship, and the two have long since parted ways. That apparently didn’t stop Mizkif from continuing to harass Emiru, something that the streamer accepted in a stream of his own.

Mizkif responded by
accepting
that he had harassed Emiru while expressing that he felt guilty about his past behavior. He explained that he was controlling about what Emiru could wear and who she could talk to, and that he didn’t want her to go out alone. While Mizkif tried to show that he understood his actions were controlling and wrong, fans didn’t feel much empathy for him.
Most fan sentiment was empathy towars Emiru, whose
recent experience at TwitchCon
preceded this latest revelation and seems to have left the streamer in a bad way.
Viewers were quick to react to the response from Mizkif, and many clips resurfaced of Mizkif showing the same pattern of behavior with his former partner, Maya. Mizkif displayed insecurity about his then-girlfriend getting more viewers than him during a stream, even claiming that he “brought her into this world.” This outburst was very much public, and some onlookers allege that while Mizif claims he regrets his actions, his repeating them later with Emiru speaks to a pattern of behavior.
Maya hasn’t shared anything about the claims viewers are making, and it isn’t yet confirmed whether she will issue any further statement on the matter. But that hasn’t stopped fans from dissecting old clips of Mizkif and calling for his ban from Twitch. It also doesn’t help that Mizkif is already infamous in some circles for getting involved in
drama with other streamers, many of whom have since come out to support Emiru while asking Twitch to take action.
