MIBR vs LEVIATAN Match Analysis

This matchup is easily one of the most exciting ones we’ll get this entire group stage, as two juggernauts are set to bump heads.

MIBR have looked shaky in Stage 2, especially after choking a 10-2 lead against NRG which cost them the series. However, the squad has since bounced back with three convincing 2-0 victories against ENVY, FURIA, and Evil Geniuses.

Though MIBR managed to string a six-map win streak, some of them weren’t clean, especially when they’re playing against significantly weaker opponents. We’re just not too convinced about their recent form – they’ve looked very inconsistent all year, and it still seems that way.

On the other side, we have LEVIATAN, who still remain as one of the strongest squads in the region, period. The South American squad did stumble in their most recent matchup against NRG, where they lost in double overtime in the final map. Overall, that series was a game of margins, so the loss shouldn’t sting too bad – LEVIATAN are still a team to fear.

MIBR vs LEVIATAN Picks and Predictions

The last time these two teams clashed was in May this year, with MIBR sweeping LEVIATAN 3-0 in the Esports World Cup qualifier. However, this happened right before LEVIATAN won VCT Masters London – the boys in blue look like a completely different squad since then.

We’re really liking LEVIATAN’s form right now, even though they just lost to NRG last week. On the other hand, MIBR just haven’t looked too convincing – they struggled on some maps against the likes of FURIA and Evil Geniuses.

We believe LEVIATAN are simply the better team and are also in better form. As a result, we’re taking them to win this series, but MIBR could steal a map at the very least.
