Who is MAUSchine? The player who struck an opponent at CAGGTUS Leipzig LAN
A local German Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament turned ugly after semi-pro player MAUSchine struck his his opponent on camera, casting a shadow over what should have been a celebration of grassroots competition.
CAGGTUS is Leipzig’s premier gaming festival, bringing together esports fans since 2023. While primarily rooted in the local German scene, the event is making headlines worldwide for all the wrong reasons.
At the end of the CS2 LAN tournament, a player walked up to his opponent on stage and struck him in the face, leaving the crowd silent in utter shock.
The incident has since drawn the attention of tournament organizers, with the case being forwarded to ESIC for a formal ruling on potential long-term punishment.
Who is MAUSchine?
MAUSchine is primarily a Twitch streamer who occasionally competes in
CS2 tournaments, and enjoys a solid following on Twitch. However, the streamer has now found worldwide notoriety for the wrong reasons following the violent incident at CAGGTUS Leipzig.
MAUSchine and Spidergum’s teams were the finalists of the CAGGTUS Leipzig CS2 LAN party, playing not for prize, but for tickets to next year’s CAGTUS festival. The game, in essence, wasn’t anything serious, and as it happens in all CS2 tournaments,
there was plenty of trash talk happening between the teams.

According to reports and
viewers of MAUSchine’s stream, Spidergum had mimicked the opponent upon securing some kills during the final. That mockery had apparently struck a chord with MAUSchine who went up to the stage with a clear intention to strike Spidergum, as seen in the video, in scenes reminiscent of the Will Smith–Chris Rock incident at the Oscars in 2022.
The incident was recorded live on stream, and as it unfolded, the audience had clearly gone mute in shock. The host also looked taken aback, asking MUASchine to step down from the stage.
While Spidergum didn’t take the incident to the heart, his team regnum4games
demanded “clear consequences” from the organizers. That was soon followed by an announcement from DACH CS Masters and Fragster who revealed that MAUSchine is now banned from all related events for the next decade. Fragster has also said that the punishment would be readjusted based on ESIC’s ruling.
If ESIC does acknowledge and deliver a ruling, MAUSchine will likely be barred from partaking in CS2 majors as the violent event happened on a CS2 stage. For now, MAUSchine’s Twitch channel is also gone, but it’s not yet clear if this has anything to do with the CAGGTUS Leipzig incident.
