Why Marinotlive, MeltIsLIVE were banned from Kick, Twitch

Kick streamer Marinotlive and Twitch streamer Jalen “MeltIsLIVE” Melton have been banned from their respective livestreaming platforms following a high-speed race on a Georgia highway.
MeltIsLIVE is a popular Twitch content creator who has been streaming since 2020, with IRL and gaming content joined by some occasional reckless racing that has repeatedly gotten him into trouble. Marinotlive, on the other hand, is a relatively lesser-known streamer in the industry while making his primary streaming home on Kick.
MeltIsLIVE has gone viral multiple times for his controversial actions, including racing and crashing cars, which have led to his previously being banned from Twitch. The two streamers were involved in yet another racing incident, which led to the two giant streaming platforms banning MeltIsLIVE and Marinotlive.
Why did Twitch and Kick ban MeltIsLIVE and Marinotlive?
MeltIsLIVE and Marinotlive were banned from Twitch and Kick following a reckless street race on the highway that led to a crash and reportedly injured multiple parties.
Twitch streamer MeltIsLIVE was driving one of the cars involved in the crash, which had three apparent passengers and fellow content creators in his vehicle who were also streaming. Marinotlive was following behind speedily in his own car while livestreaming on Kick. In clips of the incident that have gone viral across social forums, the two content creators were seen buzzing past other vehicles along the highway until Marinotlive seemingly lost control of his car and hit MeltIsLIVE.
The hit car spun violently towards the highway’s median, ultimately coming to a stop before any catastrophic damage could be done.

In another clip, fellow streamer Joseph “HyyJoe” Cowen took stock of the wreckage live on stream, confirming that while some people sustained injuries, none of those involved were seriously hurt.
Reaction from around the streaming community was instantaneous, with many suggesting that Kick and Twitch needed to take action against the two streamers because this sort of reckless driving could end up hurting someone far more seriously than was the case in this incident. Viewers were also quick to note that this isn’t MeltIsLIVE’s first car crash.
The streamer was previously involved in another car crash in April, reportedly due to his use of his phone while driving. His behavior led to a Twitch ban, but he was later allowed to return to streaming live on the platform.
MeltIsLIVE and Marinotlive have both been banned since the incident, but there has been no official statement regarding the intended duration of their suspensions. Some reports suggest that MeltIsLIVE may have been permanently banned from Twitch, and there’s a real chance that Marinotlive has also faced permanent consequences from Kick. But until either streamer or one of the platforms gives official word, such conjecture remains only that.
Content creators driving recklessly while streaming has become something of a trend, with many demanding that platforms take stricter actions so that streamers remain more cautious and don’t set a poor example for those watching them stream while on the road. Considering the size and influence of some streamers, it certainly seems an idea worth considering.
