Exclusive interview: M2thak says creators are under more pressure than ever before

The popular Kick streamer M2thak has had a busy 2026 so far, but he sat down with WIN.gg again for another exclusive chat, revealing that creators are under more pressure than ever when producing content.
The content creation scene is ever-changing. New creators are constantly pouring into the industry, and what worked as little as a year ago may be completely irrelevant today. Some creators have managed to endure and reinvent themselves amidst all of this uncertainty — with M2thak being one of the best examples.
The Kick streamer and YouTuber recently sat down with WIN.gg on video to answer multiple questions. In a varied and detailed dive into the mentality of a successful creator, he revealed that creators today are under significant pressure, and much of that may be because of the same platforms they create content for.
“Do I think creators are under more pressure now than in the early YouTube era? Yeah — because there are so many user guidelines and politics”
Many veteran content creators look back fondly at the early years of platforms such as YouTube, and M2thak gives more insight as to why.
According to the creator, the freedom of speech isn’t the same as it was years back. In particular, YouTube is extremely hectic and doesn’t give creators much leeway on the content they can create. This is also a major reason why M2thak streams more on Kick, since it gives creators some more freedom.
Despite these guidelines, creators are also under pressure to constantly chase the biggest thing. According to M2thak, the trick to staying consistent is to create good content. Instead of chasing views and the next big thing, stay in the moment and ensure fans see the authentic you with the personality to entertain.
“People already got their chance to mess it up and they messed it up”
M2thak elaborates that the additional guidelines are understandable. They’re established and put in place after witnessing years of mistakes from countless creators. Whether it’s something broad, such as what content creators can’t showcase, or as specific as creators streaming and driving, most rules are basically a result of years of troubleshooting.

This doesn’t mean that creators shouldn’t be the best. M2thak states that he wants to be the world’s best because he applies the time and effort to make his content worth his time and that of his audience.
“It’s a whole new world of clout chasing”
M2thak also commented on how some creators focus on negative content for clout chasing and therefore views; he compared this to the way that MrBeast started off by giving money to people who are in need.
The new generation of creators thinks that any attention is good attention. It’s hard to blame them, considering that’s how some of the most popular creators have climbed to the top, including the likes of Logan Paul and Asmongold. Instead, M2thak believes that creators should focus on doing something positive, and the numbers will naturally come to them.
All in all, M2thak’s exclusive interview with Win.gg is essentially an analysis of how a successful creator, who has been through different phases of the internet, thinks. From goals to advice, it’s a unique insight into what is a condensed industry from a figure that has managed to reinvent himself from prankster to established casino streamer.
