LYON faces Shopify Rebellion in the lower bracket of the LCS Summer Playoffs 2026. The winner of this match claims North America’s final spot at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, while the loser ends their season in fourth place.
Neither team should have been in this spot. LYON entered the playoffs as the favorite and they’re now in the loser’s bracket, and SR was expected to lose much earlier. Here are our predictions and which outcomes to bet on for this series.

This match opposes the first and sixth places from the Summer Split regular season. As such, the bet on the winner of the series should be an easy choice. Safest bet: LYON to win map one
LYON could win this series 3-0. When there’s such a favorite, the team usually finishes either 3-0 or 3-1. In the latter case, LYON would start by winning the first two games, then SR would finally find a game plan that works for them, before faltering again. In both cases, LYON still takes the first game.
Additionally, they’re a team that plays a calculated, risk-averse game. Cloud9 was able to best them by practicing meeting them in their weaknesses, by taking advantage of them having an off day, and by being individually strong. Playing two series back-to-back, SR did not get such luxury of researching as much. This means that LYON should have the opening game go their way without the risk of an accident happening.

☑️ My Verdict: A one-sided fight could be the outcome
Shopify Rebellion has definitely surprised everyone. One could say the reverse sweep against Sentinels was a fluke, but they’ve got two best-of-five wins in a row now.
However, I think this is where it ends. SR can be proud of this sudden rise and they earned themselves a ticket to the Demacia Cup, but this match is the difficulty spike. This Summer, the LCS has had a clear top three in Team Liquid, LYON, and Cloud9. The next three teams below them were somewhat even, but the gap between 1-3 and 4-6 is steep.
SR has yet to win a single game against LYON this year, with a 0-4 head-to-head. Sentinels is a stat-checking team who punches down easily but loses without a clear plan. FlyQuest fights relentlessly and hopes it works.
LYON comes into the game with a honed game plan that the LCS struggles to beat. Not only that, every single one of their players is mechanically better than their respective counterparts in SR. To make matters worse, C9 exposed them in a moment of possible overconfidence, which is a good way to ensure that LYON doesn’t make this mistake twice.
My pick: I think that LYON will win this series 3-0 and end Shopify’s heroics. 3-1 is another possible outcome, but I don’t think they will slip up and give SR chances. LYON’s Mid-Season Invitational run also showed that they can easily come back swinging after a strong loss.
