LYON vs Team Liquid match analysis
It wouldn’t be a stretch to call Team Liquid one of the top teams in this LCS Lock-In split. In particular, the team’s top laner Morgan constantly showcases a level of skill that fans barely see in the region otherwise, winning the laning phase almost every game and consistently setting his team up for victory. Pair his gameplay with Josedeodo and Quid acting as strong support players in the jungle and middle lanes, respecitvely, and Yeon’s strong carry potential as the team’s ADC, and Team Liquid may have a good chance of making further headway in the playoffs.
As for LYON, the former LLA team spent years performing well in its former region. While the team’s 2025 didn’t go as well, the lower bracket quarterfinals match against Disguised showcased a side of LYON the LCS hadn’t seen yet. Saint’s performance as the team’s mid-lane carry was nothing short of phenomenal, and a repeat of that performance would effectively set LYON up for victory against Team Liquid.

The odds for this match place LYON as the favorite, and it makes sense why that would be the case. The team has been extremely aggressive this split, aiming to establish its dominance in the early game by going for the first kill and tower bonuses. Because of this, siding with LYON to get first blood may be a good idea, especially since Team Liquid is usually initially passive, only getting first blood in less than a third of its games.
Despite Team Liquid’s status as the underdog, the team has a real chance of coming out on top in this match. LYON’s performance against Disguised may have been strong, but that was more because of the opposing team’s questionable decisions that let LYON’s players going above and beyond the call. Against a more experienced and skilled team like TL, LYON may struggle in the laning phase, making the match more of a coin flip.
Liquid may find the upset in this match, primarily because of LYON’s habit of folding when things don’t go too well. It won’t be easy, and there’s a good chance that the match may go the distance. Taking the over on 4.5 games looks like a strong betting pick, especially considering the high return potential on the odds the pick holds.

LYON vs Team Liquid betting picks & predictions
Team Liquid began the split as a favorite to win, which changed because of the team’s performance in the Swiss stage. While LYON didn’t fare much better, Liquid has already proven that it has the skill and consistency to pull off high levels of play multiple times against a large crowd, which LYON could struggle to do.
While the match will likely be close, Liquid has a stronger chance of winning and going on to face Sentinels in the lower bracket final.
Best picks
- LYON to get first blood @ 1.85: LYON is much more aggressive than Team Liquid, and has a better track record of securing first bloods.
- Total maps to be over 4.5 @ 2.6: Both teams played fairly well in their lower bracket quarterfinal matches, but their shared flaws could take this match the distance.
