LOUD didn’t have the best 2025. The team’s performance at every VCT split was filled with unfortunate throws, resulting in the team not even qualifying for an international tournament. By contrast, Cloud9 at least made it to the 2025 Esports World Cup. While its performance also left much to be desired at times, it definitely showed better consistency than did LOUD.
Cloud9 added Zellsis and penny to its roster near the end of October 2025. The revamped roster may have struggled in the 2025 SEN City Classic and Red Bull Home Ground tournaments, but much of that was seemingly because of the lack of practice time the players had with its new players.
LOUD adding the former E-Xolos LAZER player Darker to its roster near the end of December of 2025 shows promise, but it’s likely to suffer from the same lack of practice that Cloud9 did, especially since it’s barely been a month since the recruitment.

Despite Cloud9’s current state, the team’s pistol rounds are quite strong. With the addition of the new Bandit, there’s a strong chance that siding with C9 for winning pistol rounds is the way to go. Between v1c and penny’s reliable fragging, Cloud9 also has a better chance of winning against LOUD and moving on to face NRG in the upper bracket quarterfinals.
As for how this match will go, Cloud9’s recent showings suggest it should comfortably win the match. Because of this, taking the under on 2.5 maps may be a good idea, especially considering the greater potential return on the match only having two maps.
