A preview of Le Digger, Hacksaw Gaming’s Latest Slot
Mark 7 May, 2026 in your calendar as Hacksaw Game fans will be delighted with the arrival of the latest game in their “Le” series of games, Le Digger. This archaeology-themed slot has many of the touches of other games in the series, and includes the return of Smokey the Raccoon, but evolves from that DNA into a dynamite-laden game of hidden treasures.
Set in the desert with memorable graphics, liberal use of fossils and relics as symbols and bonuses alongside the standard playing card low value symbols, Smokey’s return will more than satisfy fans as the tone of the game remains fun and enjoyable, although framed with slightly more expansive and involved gameplay, especially in the base game.
Check out our detailed preview of the game ahead of its release where we take a look at the different layers of the game, unpeeling each aspect of the game to reveal the mechanics hidden beneath.
And if you would like to try the game before it hits casinos, you can try the Le Digger demo ahead of the release date. Previous installments have proved hugely popular with streamers — Trainwreckstv recently won $4.5m on Le Fisherman — and we expect this addition to be no different.

Le Digger Gameplay
The Le Digger slot continues with the cluster pays format that is a foundation of the “Le” series of games. Wins land on the 6×5 grid when five or more matching symbols connect. When a win lands, those symbols will explode on the reels, replaced by different symbols based on a three-layer grid system.
Three-Layer Grid – Explained
Most cluster pays slots operate on one grid, with the same symbols dropping into place after a win. In Le Digger, the grid has three layers. The first two layers feature the standard symbols, along with the Wild Dynamite and Free Spins scatters. However, if you can dig deep enough by landing consecutive wins on the same squares, then the third layer reveals a number of special symbols, which offer higher value wins.
This is where the archaeological aspect of the slot really kicks in as you dig deeper through the layers on the grid to unlock the more valuable finds.
What Can I Expect In Terms of Bonus Features in the Le Digger Slot?
Hacksaw Games are well-known for producing games stacked with bonus features and Le Digger won’t disappoint fans of other games in the series. In the forthcoming game, fans will recognise some key bonus elements from previous games.
Dynamite and Wild Dynamite Symbols
These symbols when triggered can form part of wins and remove the layers of symbols on the grid. They can be useful to trigger chain reactions after a win and play a key role in getting through the top two grid layers and into the bigger wins hidden on the third layer.
Golden Reveal Symbols
These symbols only appear when they are revealed in the third layer of the grid. They can award wins of up to 500x your coin value, slot multipliers and combine with other symbols to collect multiple wins.

Free Spins Mode
There are also three different Free Spins bonuses that can be accessed during the gameplay. They are:
- Tomb Service – The standard Free Spins bonus that offers steady wins.
- Dig It – A more volatile free spins round that offers greater value wins.
- Gold Digger – This is the rare, high-potential bonus that can see the higher value wins achieved in the game.
The Gold Digger bonus is when the most exciting phase of the game is active where multiple dynamites will land on each spin and the improved chances of a win mean that players have more chances of landing a win up to the 15,000x jackpot.
Where Does Le Digger Fit In the “Le” Series?
Hacksaw Games “Le” series has spawned a number of titles including Le Bandit, Le Pharaoh, Le Zeus, Le Santa, Le King and Le Viking. Le Digger follows in the same vein as these previous titles but also has a number of differences.
We have outlined some of these key differences in the table below.
| Classic “Le” Games | Le Digger |
|---|---|
| Focus on bonus hunting | Stronger base game progression |
| Single-layer grids | Multi-layer excavation system |
| Simpler feature triggers | Structured feature build-up |
| Volatility varies | More balanced medium volatility |
Key Features of the Le Digger Slot
There are a number of key features that will appeal to players when the game is released in May. However, what stands out for us are:
- An engaging, layered base game that is as much a part of the experience as triggering the main bonus features of the slot.
- More balanced volatility offering a more player-friendly experience but still with the option of landing a big win.
- High Value Jackpot – A 15,000x your stake jackpot is very appealing.
Le Digger Concluding Thoughts
Releasing in May 2026, Le Digger offers another addition to the “Le” series of games, but it is an addition to the roster that earns itself a niche position within that esteemed list. The game adds structure, depth and a sense of progression allied to the high value top jackpot prize and extensive bonus features.
Were feel that if you dig deep enough you will get to discover the hidden thrills of the Le Digger slot for yourself, with its immersive gameplay and feature rich gaming starting in the base game, it is certainly going to be another in the long line of high quality slots in the “Le” series from Hacksaw Gaming.
