Prominent streamer Nick “Lacy” Fosco has announced that he will soon stop streaming to focus on some other things he has coming up in his life, and and his fans were shocked by the big reveal.

Lacy is a popular streamer associated with the popular FaZe Clan, despite getting kicked and rejoining in early 2025. He streams a variety of content, most prominently Just Chatting and IRL streams. He has over one million Twitch followers and tried his luck at multistreaming on Kick beginning in June 2025. The content creator unfortunately wasn’t happy with Kick’s financial results and decided to stop streaming there quickly, despite the much better results some other prominent names in the streaming world have seen on Kick.

Lacy is now in the news again, and this time his fans are in for a shock as their favorite streamer is set to stop creating content, at least for a while. In July, Lacy announced he would temporarily cease his streaming activities because of a lucrative opportunity that has come his way.

Why did Lacy stop streaming?

Lacy announced in a stream that he would stop streaming because he was asked to be part of a new season of the show Love Island.

Lacy revealed that he won’t stream for a period lasting anywhere between three and five months as he’s joining the next season of Love Island in a bombshell announcement. He stated that he’s taking this break because he’ll have to travel for the new show. Lacy will likely have to dedicate much of his time to the show, which would make streaming harder if not impossible. It may even be in the terms of his agreement to appear that he not stream during filming.

The content creator also claimed that he’ll be “rizzing up” the girls in the reality show.

Lacy stop streaming

Lacy stated that the streaming hiatus is temporary and that he’ll stream again after his few months’ break is complete. His appearance on Love Island could boost his streaming numbers, though it’s hard to say how much of his existing audience will remain when he returns. Many reality show contestants begin streaming content after they come into the limelight that way, but Lacy is doing the opposite. Time will tell what kind of effect the steamer’s new path has on his career.

Viewers’ reaction to Lacy’s announcement is divided. Many expressed their surprise at Lacy agreeing to be a part of Love Island, as he isn’t single. The streamer made his romantic relationship with Darla Claire official in 2025 after much drama and even cheating. Many fans had expressed their dismay at Lacy taking back his supposedly cheating girlfriend at the time, and now after Lacy’s announcement, some of those same fans are speculating that there may be trouble in the couple’s relationship once again, which might have led the streamer to join the romantic reality show.
