Ludwig Ahgren recently discussed CORE and claimed that the group will fail. Nick “Lacy” Fosco initially defended the organization before announcing in an X post that he was leaving CORE.

Lacy is known for his over-the-top streams and memorable Fortnite content. The streamer left FaZe Clan during the organization’s mass exodus and joined CORE along with the key members of FaZe. The new organization has since been growing consistently, but streamer Ludwig has very public doubts about the future of CORE. Lacy defended the organization, but later announced that he was leaving CORE.

Is Lacy leaving CORE?

Lacy made two announcements in his X post, with the first one announcing his departure from CORE. The other one was the American claiming he would hit 175 lbs by January 2027. He didn’t provide any details about why he was leaving the organization, but fans have been speculating that the streamer may be trolling. Some have even used Lacy’s previous announcement that he was leaving CORE as evidence that the streamer isn’t serious.

In June 2026, just a few weeks after CORE was launched, Lacy announced in a stream that he was mutually parting ways with the group. The streamer even compared his departure to that of Sidemen’s Olajide “KSI” Olayinka Williams Olatunji. However, Lacy was still mentioned on CORE’s roster, and the organization was streaming content normally. Lacy also appeared with the group without any announcement of coming back, which made fans assume he was not being serious.

The latest July 2026 announcement has also not yet received any public comment from the CORE boys, which has fans speculating that Lacy is trolling again. This follows a recent Fortnite controversy, where Lacy has has even seemingly retired from competitive play.

Lacy retires from Fortnite competitive, accused of ban evading

The streamer recently lost the chance to compete in the FNC Grand Finals and announced in an X post that he was retiring from competing completely. In the post, Lacy said he had given his life to Fortnite, but would never compete again. The streamer then made several posts claiming he lost because of cheaters, and that he had reported the alleged teams to Fortnite.

Just a short while later, screenshots of Lacy apparently using two accounts started going viral. Some claimed that Lacy had been banned and that he was ban evading with the second account. Lacy talked about it in a stream, joking that he was caught and was “guilty of having an Xbox before a PC”.

Lacy’s Fortnite career is still in doubt, but the streamer is hopeful that Epic Games may take action due to his reports, and he may still be able to compete in the grand finals — it remains to be seen if that really happens.

Ludwig tells JasonTheWeen that CORE will fail because of solo streams

In a recent stream, Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen asked Ludwig what advice he would give to CORE. Ludwig replied that he thinks CORE will fail because the members are successful individuals and are incentivized to do their own thing. He claimed that members are putting in effort to improve the group, and if only one person tries to run the group, they will get burnt out. The stream compared it to a group project where only one person puts in the work, but everyone gets an A, suggesting the current set-up is unsustainable.

Lacy reacted to the stream, saying CORE has only been around for three months, so it’s normal for them to be slow, but they have already achieved a lot. He said the group has 1 million subscribers on YouTube, a big mansion, and was also prominent at Streamer Univeristy 2026. The streamer also revealed they didn’t want anyone else managing them, so Alexander “Adapt” Hamilton Prynkiewicz was doing 80% of the work for CORE.

Viewers reacted positively to Lacy’s claims, arguing that CORE has made significant progress in just three months. However, critics countered that his comments only reinforced Ludwig’s point, as Lacy admitted that Adapt was doing most of the group’s work.
