KT Rolster vs T1 match overview

T1 may have won the last two Worlds titles, but the team’s performance has been shaky this year. Meanwhile, KT Rolster came into this tournament as the definitive LCK underdog team and rose to the occasion to defeat arguably the best team in the pro League of Legends world. The looming question now is which team has the better chance of taking home the title.

Betting tip: KT’s recent consistent performance and the strategic overhaul of its playing style could help it to find an upset against T1.

Our KT Rolster vs T1 pick: KT to win 3-2 @ 2.40

KT Rolster vs T1 match analysis

KT’s recent performance suggests that the team has a very real chance of creating an upset against T1 in the 2025 LoL Worlds grand final.

T1 is by far the favorite to win this grand final match, primarily because of the team’s proven track record. It won the last two World Championship events and has some of the biggest names in the League of Legends scene on its roster. There’s also the head-to-head record between the two teams, where T1 has 34 historical wins against KT’s 13.

But KT Rolster shouldn’t be taken lightly. The team defeated T1 with a perfect score of 2-0 the last time the two teams met on the big stage in the recent LCK split. Its performance at Worlds has been perfect, with KT only losing one game against Gen.G and winning every match in the process. With KT being the underdog going into this match, leaning into the team’s fairly high upset potential could be a good idea, especially considering the higher potential payout.

Bdd’s performance against Chovy may lead some to think that he should comfortably beat Faker in the laning phase. But Faker is more experienced and better accustomed to performing well under immense pressure, which Chovy was unable to do. The Gen.G mid-laner made multiple uncharacteristic mistakes in the semifinals and was a major reason for KT beating the tournament’s favorite. By contrast, the mid lane should be much more balanced this time around.

The bottom lane will be much more interesting. T1’s Keria is an excellent and consistent support who has made game-winning plays for his team multiple times before. But KT’s deokdam has showcased more carry potential than T1’s Gumayusi, which may make the bottom lane a coin toss. The team that can get its ADC online first may be the one to win that particular game, as was seen in the third game between Gen.G and KT, where deokdam’s Ashe dominated the laning phase against Ruler’s Sivir and comfortably won his team the game.

PerfecT had created a reputation for throwing games by losing the top lane every time KT faced a tough opponent, but that isn’t the case anymore for this plucky betting underdog. The top laner has improved his performance drastically recently. T1’s Doran occasionally makes silly mistakes like teleporting into five enemies or fighting when he shouldn’t, and this could give KT the edge in the top lane.

Cuzz and Oner are both fairly close when it comes to jungling skills, but Oner has a more diverse champion pool that could come in clutch if the game goes the distance.

KT Rolster vs T1 match prediction

Ultimately, everything here boils down to consistency, where KT has T1 beat of late. KT has showcased massive growth in a short amount of time, while T1 is seemingly making the same mistakes it made in the last LCK split. While the match will likely be extremely close, probably going to a fifth game, there’s a good chance that KT could find an upset and win that fifth game to be crowned this year’s LoL Worlds champion.

Our KT Rolster vs T1 prediction: KT to win 3-2 @ 2.40 odds at Stake.
