KT Rolster will finally get another shot at rival T1 during the 2026 LCK Cup group battle stage, but the odds suggest that this match might be a repeat of last year’s League of Legends World Championship final.

2026’s competitive League of Legends year has kicked off with the 2026 LCK Cup, bringing together the strongest professional Korean teams to duke it out in the group battle stage. T1 has been doing particularly well so far, and the side’s next opponent is slated to be KT Rolster. The big question is whether this will be a repeat of the 2025 Worlds grand final, or if KT can find an upset this time.

KT Rolster vs T1 match overview

Betting tip: T1 and KT have both seemingly been taking the initial group battle stage easy, and given their tight history, a third map may be imminent.

Our KT Rolster vs T1 pick: Total maps to be over 2.5 @ 2.24.

KT Rolster vs T1 match analysis

Last year’s Worlds grand final was closer than many fans expected, with KT taking T1 to a fifth and final game. While T1 ultimately won, it proved that KT had the potential to best its long-time rival. Unfortunately for KT, its star ADC left the team. And while T1’s ADC position also saw a change, T1’s Peyz has showcased a much higher level of skill and game sense than KT’s new ADC Aiming.

KT’s Bdd and Cuzz usually do much of the heavy-lifting through the middle lane and jungle, respectively, but T1 has Faker and Oner to counter those efforts, or at least match them. Doran usually impacts the top lane more positively for T1 than does PerfecT for KT, giving T1 the edge across most of the map.

T1 has been going extremely strong recently, and this consistency could translate to additional confidence that pushes its players to play more aggressively at the start, especially since KT is coming off a loss against Gen.G. This could help the team increase its chances of getting first blood and securing the additional gold, potentially making this a good betting pick for decent returns.

Being the favorite and having showcased an improving level of skill as Peyz gets better accustomed to his role as the team’s ADC, it wouldn’t be surprising if T1 emerges the victor here. But the 2025 Worlds winner has recently given a game to each opponent as it experiments with new strategies, which could help KT win at least one map. Thanks to this, it may be a good idea to bet on the over on 2.5 maps played, especially considering the higher potential odds return on T1 and KT playing a three-game series relative to taking the under on the same bet.

KT Rolster vs T1 betting picks & predictions

KT may have surprised many with its Worlds final run last year, but the team’s inconsistency just can’t be ignored. Struggling against a team like DNS, despite being considered one of the strongest teams in the Korean region, highlights how KT’s performance relies too heavily on Cuzz’s abilities.

By contrast, all of T1’s players have shown strong individual performances, whether it’s Faker playing capably against HLE or Doran dominating the top lane against DRX. All of this suggests that T1 will take home the win here, even if KT could potentially win one game.
