KT Rolster and CFO will next battle in the 2025 LoL Worlds knockout stage quarterfinals, with the losing team bidding farewell to the tournament.

The favorites to win the 2025 Worlds were established before the event even started. While powerhouses like T1 and Gen.G got through the knockout stage, those matches also established some underdog teams with a real shot who fans could root for. KT Rolster and CFO are among those underdogs, but only one of these teams can advance to the semifinals.

KT Rolster’s performance seems to be the epitome of a coin toss. The team sometimes plays terribly, but other times it beats some of the strongest professional teams in the world. Deokdam is a reliable ADC who has carried the side to victory multiple times, and Bdd has successfully laned against some of the game’s strongest mid laners.

CFO’s strongest player is its jungler JunJia, who has shown more impressive gameplay than KT’s Cuzz, but its bottom and middle lanes are also consistently good and may actually be able to keep up with KT, even on a good day for the LCK squad.

The match is likely to be closer than most would assume based on names and regions alone. Both teams have showcased immense growth in a short period of time, but don’t yet have any major victories to their name. With their skills being close, it wouldn’t be surprising if the match goes the distance and fans see a fifth game in the series. Taking the over on 4.5 games played  has a potentially good return, making it a good bet to bank on. Another good bet may be siding with CFO securing the first blood, considering it’s the more aggressive team when looking at the Swiss Stage matches.

JunJia is the better jungler, but his playing style revolves around securing kills instead of objectives. CFO is still more likely to get the first dragon, Baron, and Atakhan, primarily thanks to the team roaming the map more effectively. While KT’s vision game is solid, it isn’t as strong in team fights, which most jungle objectives will be centered around.
