Comprehensive Kick VODs guide: How to save, download replays

Whether it’s download one’s own videos for personal use, or to preserve a stream from a favorite content creator, our guide can help any Kick user to know how to save and download their favorite VODs and replays.
As one of the biggest streaming platforms out there, Kick has something for most every type of viewer. With so many options for what to watch, some content and streamers do stand out above the rest, such as big streaming names Adin Ross and xQc. Fans may want to save their favorite replays to watch again and again, to have access to them while offline, or to simply save certain VODs before they can be deleted.
Downloading Kick VODs isn’t hard, but it does require a little bit of extra legwork outside of the platform.
How to save and download Kick VODs as a viewer
Viewers who want to save and download Kick VODs will need to use an external service, as Kick does not offer the option natively.
As of time of writing, Kick does not have a way on their website or app for users to download videos or streams. Instead, a number of outside services have popped up to meet the demand. All external sites require either the link to the stream or the .m3u8 file, which is a multimedia text file that specifies the location of another file. These are some of the best platforms to download Kick replay streams on.
Kickbot
Kickbot has a dedicated cloud-based VOD downloader alongside widgets and other streaming features. Users will need to create a free account to download the desired replay, but the basic services are all free. Additionally, because Kickbot is cloud-based, VODs can be downloaded either on mobile or on desktop.

To download Kick VODs via KickBot, users need to input the link to the desired replay and select the resolution. They can even choose to automatically download all new streams from the featured streamer. From there, they can download the video locally to their computer in the form of an .mp4. Kickbot also saves the videos on the platform for 36 hours for standard users and for seven days for premium users.
Kicklet
Kicklet is best known as a chatbot for Kick, with other utilities including VOD downloading and Kick multistreaming services. Interested users can download replays for free without having to sign in. Like with Kickbot, Kicklet allows for downloads on desktop and mobile.
Kicklet users can download VODs by inputting the link into the site and selecting the video resolution. The video then downloads directly to the device but is not saved anywhere else, even temporarily. Anyone needing help can go to their discord page and ask or check out the documentation linked on their website.
Streams Charts
Streams Charts is another easy way to download Kick VODs as one of its many tools. Notably, the site also allows for downloading Twitch content and Kick clips in addition to VODs. While longer videos may take more time to process, Streams Charts clarifies that videos of any length can be downloaded.

Once again, the process involves a user uploading a link and changing the resolution to suit their needs. Users can download either a .mp4 or a Video Transport Stream (TS) file.
There are a plethora of other websites out there that let users download video content, and there are likely to be more that pop up as more streamers join Kick every day. The important thing to make sure is that they aren’t accidentally downloading viruses or malware instead of, or in addition to, their VOD. The services we’ve described here in our Kick VODs guide are reliable and can be used without worry.
Can you save Kick VODs as a streamer?
While Kick automatically saves streamed videos, streamers only have access to those VODs for a limited amount of time.
After finishing a livestream, Kick will back up and create a replay of the broadcast for the creator. Stream replays, or VODs, last for seven days for non-verified members and 30 days for verified users. After that point, they’ll disappear forever. Streamers who want to save their Kick VODs will have to follow the same steps outlined above that viewers must follow.

Streamers can also make their temporarily stored VODs private or delete them outright. To do so, they need to go to their user page on Kick and select the videos they want to modify or delete. The three dots on each video give options for streamers, including “delete” and “make video private.” Streamers can additionally clip from their replays.
Kick is only growing more popular as time goes on among a large and varied base of users. It makes sense for viewers and streamers alike to want to save their favorite content to watch again and again. With this Kick VOD guide, they’ll have all the tools they need to do so.
