Kick has become increasingly popular among streamers for a multitude of reasons, and its Spanish streams are evidently now even more popular than those on rival streaming platform Twitch.

Kick has continuously proved itself as a worthy competitor to other older and more established streaming platforms. Whether it’s the higher earning potential for streamers or the sheer popularity of Kick, things have been trending up for the Stake-owned platform.

Kick is continuously setting new records as it tries to become the most popular streaming platform overall. Kick recently made the news for yet another achievement, as on July 15, the Kick Español X account shared a tweet that displayed Kick having a higher viewership percentage than Twitch in the past 30 days among Spanish-speaking viewers.

According to recent statistics, Spanish streamers on Kick are more popular and have a higher viewership percentage compared to rival streaming platform Twitch.

The Kick VS Twitch graph displays the highs and lows of each platform’s Spanish stream viewership. The Amazon-backed platform experienced an increase in Spanish viewership between July 20 and 26. Kick, on the other hand, dominated the rest of the 30-day period, achieving greater viewership among Spanish-speakers for the majority of that time. This is the second time Kick has managed to get sustain higher Spanish viewership than Twitch. The first time was in October 2024, but Twitch had managed to cut back ahead since then.

Kick Spanish

Kick’s deals with Spanish-speaking streamers and the higher profit ratio the platform offers are two reasons why it has noticed a rise in popularity. Luis “Westcol” Fernando Villa Álvarez is one of Kick’s most popular Spanish streamers. He has achieved multiple records, including sustaining viewership of over one million concurrent viewers during a Stream Fighter event. The Spanish-speaking Kick streamer has reportedly signed a 7-figure deal with Kick.

Westcol is also the most-followed steamer on Kick with more than two million followers, again proving the popularity of Spanish-speaking streamers on the platform.

The inroads Kick has made among its Spanish-speaking audience and streams are undeniable, and those gains may indeed be coming at the explicit cost of Twitch. Kick has yet to beat Twitch globally or in terms of English-speaking streamers and viewers, but the platform’s Spanish-speaking streams are performing phenomenally well. Bringing in higher numbers compared to an established platform is an impressive feat, and it’s yet another sign that Kick is continuously making inroads as it seeks a greater position among the world’s top streaming platforms.
