Kick launches new Kick GO Live app for creators, here’s how it works
There have been rumors and even leaks about a new Kick streaming app, and the platform has now launched it in the form of Kick GO Live.
Livestreaming platform Kick became hugely popular in a short period of time, but there was a common complaint many creators had. Streamers complained that Kick’s mobile app isn’t good, and this was especially an issue among IRL streamers. Kick co-founder Eddie Craven had previously announced that the
platform is working on something
that would decrease the cost and effort of IRL streamers. The platform has now launched a new app — Kick GO Live.
What is Kick GO Live?
Kick GO Live is the Stake-owned platform’s new mobile application that creators can use to start
livestreaming directly from their mobile devices.
This app is primarily aimed at IRL streamers, because content creators who stream at fixed locations typically have a PC and other equipment set up. IRL streamers, on the other hand, are prone to starting streams on the go and at locations where a fixed setup won’t work.
Paul “Ice Poseidon” Denino
leaked this new app
recently, and even showed off some of the features. Kick’s official announcement even uses Ice Poseidon’s streams in their video. The first main feature that Ice Poseidon had displayed, the option to stream from the back and front cameras simultaneously, is available in the app.

There are more features, including:
- Hiding the camera:
This option turns off your camera, but the broadcast and chat continue
- Screenshare:
This allows you to show your viewers what you have open on your mobile screen
- Dropout protection:
The feature keeps your broadcast active if you run into network issues, and resumes once you’re back
The initial response of creators has been largely positive, with many excited about being able to stream from their phones without using other equipment. Many have commended Kick for thinking of adding the dropout protection feature, as that may prove to be a lifesaver for many
IRL streamers such as Ice Poseidon. There’s no doubt that Kick has tried its best to cater to its IRL creator, as it’s a popular niche on the platform, but the app is usable by all streamers.
How to start streaming on Kick GO Live

Starting to stream on Kick’s new app is straightforward, and you can follow these steps to go live in seconds.
- Download Kick GO Live
- Sign in or register
- Click the streaming button in the bottom center, and you will go live
The dual-camera and screenshare features aren’t available yet, but should roll out to all creators. At the time of this writing, you can hide your cameras, change camera orientation individually, and mute your audio. Changing stream title, quality, and other options are still available.
This announcement follows the
recent launch of the Club platform
by Kick’s co-founders.
