Kick Director Ethan Wright Responds to User Feedback As Over 100 Homegrown Creators Get Partner Status

Kick co-founder Eddie Craven was recently presented with an idea by a user to support homegrown creators, and Director Ethan Wright has revealed that the feedback has already started to be implemented by the platform.
Livestreaming platform Kick started off as creator-focused, with a more lucrative revenue stream to attract streamers. Kick has since evolved, and the platform gets regular updates that cater to both streamers and viewers alike. Kick co-founder Eddie Craven hosts a weekly Kick Talk on his channel and in a recent edition was asked about supporting homegrown streamers. Ethan Wright revealed in an X post that Eddie Craven took the feedback seriously, and several homegrown streamers will receive a status change, and more additions are on the way.
Ethan Wright reveals how Kick is addressing user feedback and supporting homegrown creators
In an X post, shown below, Ethan Wright disclosed three things. Firstly, the Kick Director stated that there were complaints about the platform’s front page being “too static and sticky for creators who were featured for extended periods of time”. He went on to say that the feature team had worked on this issue, and “over 3,000 creators” were featured on the front page over the last two weeks.
Wright then discussed the idea that was proposed to Eddie Craven in a recent Kick Talk to support loyal streamers who have been with the platform for a long time. He said that they looked at the data of long-term creators who haven’t reached the metrics to get partnered and monetized. The Kick Director then shared that over 100 creators are being partnered immediately, and they will receive an email “over the next 24 hours”.

Wright also said that this process isn’t perfect, and if a creator feels they should have been included, then they can reach out to the Kick Partners team via email. He specified that there is still an eligibility requirement, and the Kick creator should have been streaming on the platform for two to three years and close to becoming a partner. Streamers can then send their pitch and explain why they should be made partners.
Kick is also working on an OG Streamer Badge, which will be rolled out to consistent and loyal creators. The name hasn’t been finalized yet, and Wright asked users to give their recommendations. He also requested that users continue sending feedback, as that will help the platform improve further.
☑️ My Analysis
Eddie Craven was given the proposal to support homegrown Kick streamers by fast-tracking their partner status roughly one week ago. Kick went into overdrive and quickly partnered with more than 100 long-time creators. This is a major move, as it’s rare for any platform or business to make such a decision lightly. The community has generally reacted positively to this for supporting its loyal creators.
Ethan Wright asking users to give more feedback indicates that Kick is serious about addressing remaining concerns. This could be a gamechanger for the platform, it is why it stands apart from rivals. That’s not to say that Twitch and YouTube don’t implement user feedback, but Kick going above and beyond with transparency can help it keep its user base happy and loyal to the platform
