Kick has officially announced its welcoming of Dennis “cloakzy” Lepore to the streaming platform, and the streamer’s millions of fans are hungry to know how the move came about and what it means for his future.

cloakzy is an American content creator and competitive gamer, best known for his Fortnite exploits. At his peak, he became the captain of FaZe Clan’s Fortnite team, though he eventually left FaZe following a dispute.  The content creator has also collaborated with multiple popular personalities in the streaming world, such as Nicholas “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff and Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar. cloakzy is now in the news again for his move to popular livestreaming platform Kick, and with speculation as to what brought the move about and if it could involve an exclusive streaming agreement.

Kick officially welcomes streamer cloakzy

Livestreaming platform Kick took to social media to say “welcome cloakzy” without any further details, serving as a short and sweet announcement that the streamer was headed to the platform.

The tweet by Kick was certainly left vague, which many fans commented on, and the platform has thus far only shared cloakzy’s picture and a caption welcoming him. The imagery is similar to that which Kick has otherwise used when welcoming big-name streamers to its platform, with a Kick-green highlight of the streamer’s face.

Cloakzy’s exclusive Twitch contract expired in 2023, and it was once understood that the streamer planned to stream on both Kick and YouTube as well as Twitch once he wasn’t bound to a single platform. Despite that, the former Fortnite pro hasn’t streamed on his Kick channel in the two years since his exclusivity with Twitch came to an end.

Will Cloakzy stream on Kick?

Cloakzly did stream on Kick just two days prior to the platform officially welcoming him, which was to the surprise of many of his longtime fans, and now the platform has publicly made clear that he is joining up. Some believe this may signify that Kick has either offered him an exclusive deal, or that the streamer will be creating content to take advantage of the generous Kick partner program.

Many Twitch streamers have switched to Kick or started to multistream their content on Kick to take advantage of the potentially higher revenue that is being made available there. cloakzy may indeed chose to start to multistream his content rather than being bound to any single platform. Nothing regarding exclusivity has yet been confirmed by cloakzy or by Kick at the time of writing. That may change in the future with an official statement from the streamer or Kick to fill fans in.

Viewer reaction to the news has been divided, with some praising Kick for potentially bringing on the famed gamer and streamer. Others were more curious, pointing out that cloakzy has had a Kick channel for some time without streaming there and wondering what has changed. Despite the range of reaction, most fans seem to be happy with the idea that Kick officially sharing cloakzy’s channel could mean the streamer will stream more regularly.
