Kick Surpasses 1M Average Live Viewers, Claims 35% Market Share

Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani has celebrated Kick crossing another major milestone, joking on X that “more people watch Kick than flying on a plane every night.” The platform has increased its market share by 10 percentage points in 2026 while surpassing 1 million average live viewers.
It’s not a secret that Eddie Craven and Bijan Tehrani initially launched Kick in 2022 in large part as a direct competitor to Twitch. The Amazon-backed platform was the biggest and most popular livestreaming hub at the time, but Kick introduced a creator-focused revenue model, which attracted several popular names, especially some of the top casino streamers.
This has seemingly worked out well for Kick, as the platform has gone toe-to-toe with Twitch in the Spanish-speaking market, even overtaking the established platform at times. Now, Bijan Tehrani has revealed that Kick has crossed more milestones, with an image displaying all the record statistics.
Bijan Tehrani highlights Kick’s growth speed in 2026
Tehrani shared an image from Streams Charts, which displayed several key metrics, including stats about watch hours, viewers, and channels. Kick’s watch hours for September 2026 were 773.85 million, with a peak of 2,335,591 viewers and average viewers of 1,098,698. September was Kick’s biggest month for both average viewers and watch hours, as the platform crossed 1 million for the first time and also experienced roughly a 15.65% month-over-month increase in watch time.

The image also displayed that the number of active channels was 346,688, which is an 8% drop from the peak and a 5% drop from the average number of channels. Despite this, the stats are impressive, and Bijan also shared that Kick has secured 35% of the market share. For reference, Kick reached 25% market share in July 2025, and increased that figure by 10 percentage points by 2026.
Another new record was almost 6,300 games being streamed in September, which highlights that Kick isn’t just a casino streaming platform; it has diversified its offering. The MENA region has always been a strong suit of Kick, and September was no different. Four MENA creators made it to September’s top 10 channels, including in the top two positions.
☑️ My View
Kick’s growth isn’t random or a fluke of luck. The platform has consistently tried to cater to its creators through KPP and to viewers by improving the viewing experience. Kick had issues with KPP recently and has also introduced ads, but all things considered, the platform is still trying to improve for its users, and regular attention to user-friendly updates have helped these records come about. MENA and Latin American creators have also been a big plus for Kick, as they make up a significant chunk of viewers.
Kick may have started as a Twitch competitor, but the platform has succeeded in creating its own identity. Even Riot Games has commended Kick’s presence in the MENA and Latin American regions, stating that the Stake-backed platform is the go-to for many esports fans. This may be why the developer partnered with Kick, allowing the livestreaming platform to debut in official esports broadcasts.
Bijan Tehrani ended his X post by saying, “It ends the next time I quote this post.” Some users are speculating what it means, as it could be referring to Kick breaking a new record or entering a large partnership. However, regardless of when Bijan Tehrani quotes the post next, it’s highly plausible that Kick will continue its steady growth.
