G2 Esports in the 2026 LEC Versus

Karmine Corp and G2 Esports are the two odds-on favorites to win the 2026 LEC Versus split, but as our preview will show, predictions are divided when it comes to which team will win when they face off for the first time in the new season.

Our pickG2 Esports to win, under 35.5 minutes
Betting favoriteKarmine Corp

Despite being the favorites to win in Europe’s top LoL competition, G2 and Karmine Corp have stumbled multiple times in the early split. Both teams have lost against MKOI, and their performance left much to be desired. Uncharacteristically bad performances for both teams stem from the best-of-one nature of the 2026 LEC Versus regular season, which gives both teams only one chance to show off their skills. Faltering in one game is all it takes to lose.

Those early losses have raised the stakes for both KC and G2 as the now face off with each other.

Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports match preview

Betting tip: Most matches G2 and KC have played recently have finished soon after the first Baron was taken, suggesting that this upcoming game could end in under 35.5 minutes.

Our Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports pick: Total game time to be under 35.5 minutes @ 1.42.

Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports match analysis

Karmine Corp’s players have great skill, as shown in their games against Karmine Corp Blue and Los Ratones. But the team seems to have managerial and communication issues that stop the squad from performing as a true unit. Whether it’s constructing teams without any frontline such as in the match against MKOI, or Kyeahoo struggling in the laning phase against Los Ratones, the team’s greater performance has been filled with mishaps.

G2 Esports isn’t exempt from its own recent stumbles, with the team even having lost to GIANTX in what should have been a fairly winnable game. While most of G2’s losses ultimately stem from the enemy having a better bottom lane, G2’s Hans Sama and Labrov are may more reliable than KC’s Caliste and Busio, especially considering Busio still only recently moved from FlyQuest to Karmine Corp and clearly hasn’t properly settled into his role with the LEC team.

Both teams are skilled, but G2’s uncharacteristic losses, especially after such a strong final LEC split last year, may result in the team playing a little more passively compared to its usual approach. This could give KC a chance to get an early kill in the match, potentially making it a good idea to side with odds for Karmine Corp securing first blood.

As for the jungle objectives, both junglers have showcased decent objective acquisition. But KC’s Yike is definitely a step below G2’s SkewMond, especially after SkewMond’s strong performance against GIANTX. There’s a strong chance that G2 could have an advantage in jungle objectives, potentially even getting the first Baron.

Fans likely won’t have to wait too long to see which team wins here. Most of the matches these two sides have played ended well before the 35-minute mark, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the same happened here. If G2 can secure the first Baron quickly with help from the reliable roaming that the team’s mid laner Caps brings to the table, there’s a real chance that the team could end the game before the Elder Dragon even spawns.

Karmine Corp vs G2 Esports betting picks & predictions

G2 may have ended last year as the strongest LEC team, but the squad hasn’t been able to show that same form this split. While the BO1 format may be to blame for much of this, the team has a real chance to showcase its strength against a shaky Karmine Corp, especially considering that KC hasn’t yet won against any of the region’s top teams early this year.
