Is Kanel Joseph really quitting streaming? Here's what we know
YouTuber and Twitch streamer Kanel Joseph shocked fans by announcing a serious break from content creation, but will he return or is he really quitting streaming completely?
Kanel Joseph is a massive content creator who boasts millions of subscribers across his multiple channels across YouTube, Twitch, and other social media outlets. He initially began his career as a prankster, but now has channels that cover a variety of topics. The streamer also streams live on Twitch, and has even broadcast live alongside Snoop Dogg. But Kanel Jospeh has largely built his viewership without relying on significant collaboration efforts with other creators.
Kanel Joseph has now announced a break, with some assuming from that announcement that he may be quitting streaming and content creation entirely.
Is Kanel Joseph quitting YouTube content?
Kanel Joseph posted an announcement on his YouTube channel revealing to fans that he’s going through a tough time mentally, but made clear that he will be returning to streaming and content creation once he’s feeling that he’s “in a healthier place.”
Kanel stated that he will upload a “final vault of videos on YouTube” and then step away from the streaming platforms. The streamer elaborated that he is putting his mental health first so that he can return as a better version of himself. But he also explicitly stated his intention to return to content creation as soon as he is in a better place mentally.

Kanel Joseph isn’t the only
top streamer
to take a break to look after his mental health of late. Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has also stopped creating content following his massively successful Mafiathon 3. Kai Cenat is now reportedly focusing on his new
clothing brand
while fans eagerly await his own return.
Kanel said that if he doesn’t resume content creation in two months or more, fans still shouldn’t worry and should understand that he’s just recharging. The content creator has faced issues similar to those of other popular prank streamers, such as getting banned on Twitch and even banned from AMC movie theaters. Despite those setbacks, many fans believe Joseph to be a less troublesome prank streamer compared to some of his peers with his antics tending to be less dramatic than those of someone like Kick streamer Vitaly, who was
jailed in the Philippines
for his actions.
Fan reaction to Kanel Joseph’s announcement was quick, with many expressing sadness at “one of the greatest pranksters” battling with mental health issues despite having made so many viewers laugh. Others commended Joseph for being mature about the situation and handling the issue directly, rather than trying to keep going and potentially making things worse in the process.
Kanel Joseph should return to streaming once he’s in the correct mindset to continue making content, as he’s not planning on quitting even if the creator and streamer did make clear that his mental health break could extend out to multiple months of time before he makes his awaited comeback.
