T1 vs DRX Match Analysis

The match between T1 and KIWOOM DRX will be a very interesting one, as both teams aren’t in great shape at the moment.

T1 entered the 2025-2026 Valorant season with what looked like a South Korean superteam. But since then, they’ve failed to meet expectations and even benched stax in favor of DH very recently.

Though T1 beat Paper Rex last month, their most recent results haven’t been too convincing – a 2-0 loss to VARREL and a 1-2 defeat to DetonatioN FocusMe, which are two squads T1 should never be losing to with players of such caliber. Still, they have an excuse, as they’re fielding a new starting five, but we’ll need to see them ramp up

DRX have looked very concerning, especially in their recent series against Team Secret – a bottom-tier team. DRX experimented with a triple Duelist lineup and got destroyed 0-2 with 4-13 and 7-13 scorelines – it was really a show to forget.

DRX realized the triple Duelist strategy wasn’t going to work, so they pivoted to regular comps in their following matches, but still got rolled over by Paper Rex and even lost to VARREL right after, which isn’t the strongest team in the lead. The most concerning part is that DRX only reached double digit rounds in one out of the seven maps they played.

Though T1 haven’t looked like their best, DRX’s recent performances are even more concerning.

T1 vs DRX Match Prediction

We believe T1 has the better roster on paper, and that DRX’s poor performances in recent matches doesn’t help their case. T1’s slow start to Stage 2 can also be attributed to their recent roster change, but we believe they’ve had enough time to adjust for this matchup.

For the reasons above, we’re predicting a victory for T1 and will take them to win the match, and traders on Kalshi seem to agree currently. However, with both teams underperforming over the past month, it might be a scrappy series that can go three maps.
