The third of Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon events is nearing its end, and the streamer has already hit a significant subscriber milestone while breaking the Twitch subs world record once again.

Kai Cenat has been the number-one most-subscribed streamer for almost a full year. Vtuber Ironmouse briefly dethroned the famed streamer, but he was able to reclaim the title during Mafiathon 2 with a star-studded roster of guests that included Snoop Dogg, Serena Williams, and others. He already has millions of followers across varied social media platforms, and during Mafiathon 2 he pledged that 20% of the revenue from that subathon would go toward building a school in Makoko, Nigeria.

Since December 2024, Kai has maintained a steady subscriber count as the second most-followed Twitch streamer and the overall most-subscribed. He has now broken the Twitch subscriber count record for the third time as Mafiathon 3 nears its end.

How many subs does Kai Cenat have in 2025?

As of September 2025, Kai Cenat has over 745,000 active subs on Twitch, the most subs had by any streamer. On September 21 alone, he gained over 39,000 new subs, while setting a fresh record on the platform.

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 kicked off on September 1, 2025 with a big target: to hit 1 million Twitch subs. The event was also promoted as an opportunity to raise funds for the school he is helping to build in Nigeria. The project, based in Makoko, Lagos, is set to provide free education for hundreds of local children once completed.

The stream has already pulled in big names like Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, and more. It hasn’t only been about entertainment, though. During one stream, Cenat gave a new home and a van to a mother in need, creating one of the most talked-about moments of the marathon.

These efforts have propelled him to a new Twitch record, a milestone he immediately celebrated on X while thanking members of his community.

While 745,000 subs is already a hefty milestone, Kai Cenat is still pushing toward 1 million. He has several days left to hit that mark within the month of September, and if he does, he has promised that basketball star LeBron James will appear on stream to shave his head live. The last time Kai streamed with LeBron, he broke his own viewership records, so the final day of Mafiathon 3 is expected to draw even bigger numbers and possibly set a new all-time viewership record for Twitch.
