Twitch creator Kai Cenat’s recent momentum is showing no signs of slowing down. He has just completed a Marvel’s Wolverine marathon, whilst also expressing support for his friend Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. being crowned Streamer of the Year 2026.

After a quiet start to the year, Cenat recently returned from his months-long break, and the streamer has been prolific in his output ever since. He first hosted Streamer University 2026, then went on to do two gaming marathons with iShowSpeed. The 24-year-old also hosted his clothing brand, Vivet’s, inaugural fashion show before teasing an upcoming IRL series.

Kai Cenat rates Marvel’s Wolverine a 6 after completing marathon

The Mafiathon streamer had announced that he would play Marvel’s Wolverine and do a marathon when the game releases. He revealed that the marathon will last for as long as it takes him to finish the game. This is the usual format for gaming marathons, with Cenat’s Marvel’s Wolverine marathon going live on September 15 at 1 PM EST on both the streamer’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

The streamer is known to go above and beyond in his gaming marathons, and this one was no different. Kai Cenat appeared dressed in a Wolverine costume, and his sister even sent him a picture of the streamer dressed as Wolverine for Halloween as a kid. This marathon finished relatively quickly, reportedly completing the game in 15 hours. The American is known for his forthright views and rated the game 6 out of 10, stating that it was repetitive and recommended that his viewers not buy it.

Kai Cenat says iShowSpeed should win Streamer of the Year 2026

The Twitch streamer discussed Streamer of the Year 2026 and stated that iShowSpeed “got it”. Kai Cenat elaborated that Speed is consistent with his content and stated that the award should go to “who shifted the streaming culture”. He then listed several of Speed’s achievements to explain why he was backing the IRL YouTuber.

Kai Cenat said iShowSpeed has traveled to multiple countries in a single stream, and he performed at the FIFA World Cup 2026 closing ceremony. Someone in the chat then said Speed had also collaborated with WWE this year, which surprised Kai, who then exclaimed that iShowSpeed did “hella sh*t”.

It’s important to note that iShowSpeed has won Streamer of the Year back-to-back in 2024 and 2025. He is also arguably largely favored by the streaming community for the 2026 award, and prediction markets, such as Kalshi, also indicate this is likely to be the case. What’s more, Speed has been nominated for a third Esports Streamer of the Year award in a row.

Kai Cenat announces new series exploring unexplored parts of the world

Vivet’s fashion show was just over the weekend, but it seems Kai Cenat is ready to kickstart his streaming activities again. The streamer has now announced that he will start an IRL livestream series, where he will explore the “unexplored”, with Iceland being Kai’s first destination. This announcement took many fans by surprise, as Kai Cenat hasn’t done similar IRL content since he was arrested at the AMP giveaway in New York City. This isn’t to say that Kai doesn’t do massive production content, as he has his Mafiathon, Streamer University, and other events.

Fans’ reaction to the announcement has been mixed, with some wishing Kai good luck for this new form of content. However, others have been more critical, claiming that Kai just wants to go on another vacation and is using this move. Some viewers even compared Kai Cenat to Speed, speculating that the Twitch streamer may be copying the IRL YouTuber for content ideas.
