Kai Cenat’s return to streaming has been taken to the next level with his ongoing IRL Exploring the Unexplored series. The Mafiathon streamer has been busy visiting Japan and collaborating with Taiwanese streamer Chen-Ruei “Ray” Hsu.

Cenat is known for his larger-scale productions such as the month-long Mafiathons and Streamer University. This is why it wasn’t a surprise for fans when he went above and beyond while touring Iceland during the first episode of Exploring the Unexplored. He also reportedly became the first streamer to livestream from inside a volcano. He then announced the next episode of the series would take him and Ray back to Japan. The livestream has since been broadcast — and here are some of the memorable moments from Asia.

Kai Cenat Ray Japan

The second episode of Exploring the Unexplored started like the first, when someone stream-sniped Kai Cenat and Ray. Kai Cenat then had to tell Ray to tone it down when the latter joked about eating pets. Ray interacted with an excited fan who is also a content creator, and the pair then recreated their viral Japan clip from three years ago at a 7-Eleven.

Kai Cenat drove a Mario Kart IRL, but ended up crashing because he pulled an Emily “ExtraEmily” Zhang and was distracted by his phone. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, and the streamer continued his IRL stream. However, the Mafiathon streamer almost got into a fight after someone called him a pejorative term.

Hollywood pop culture has most of the world thinking that Japan is famous for ninjas and supercars. Kai Cenat showed off both in his stream, as he climbed to a rooftop where ninjas were practicing and also displayed several exotic Lamborghinis. The streamer ended the second episode of Exploring the Unexplored without disclosing the next location he’ll visit, but said he will go live from Japan again. Kai Cenat had previously stated that he would broadcast multiple streams from Japan, so it’s likely fans will see more of him and Ray in the coming days.

☑️ My Analysis

There is no doubt that Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. has become the major force in popularizing IRL content. The YouTuber has revealed how much preparation goes into his IRL tours, where he visits different countries, showing off cultures and people to his viewers. Rangesh “N3on” Mutama is another creator who has recently started broadcasting larger-scale IRL content, highlighting how far the niche has come.

Kai Cenat starting his own IRL series is only a good thing for viewers, as the Mafiathon streamer has the capital, team, and resources to broadcast spectacular episodes in Exploring the Unexplored. However, Cenat experienced some negativity in his latest episode, which is something Speed also experienced during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tour. Kai will need to focus on his content and ignore the negativity in order to continue his growth here.
