Kai Cenat hits another new Twitch record with 20 million followers
Kai Cenat has beaten his own Twitch record by amassing an incredible number of 20 million followers on the livestreaming platform.
While Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon helped him reign over all of Twitch, setting numerous records across the platform with his incredible growth. Despite being one of Twitch’s biggest names, Kai has only been streaming for about four years. Yet in that time he has already become one of the platform’s most-watched streamers, most-subscribed, and most-followed streamers.
On November 13, Kai Cenat hit 20 million followers and hit a fresh record that continues to demonstrate the extreme popularity of the content creator.
Who’s the most followed Twitch streamer?
In 2025, Kai Cenat cemented his position as the most followed streamer on Twitch by breaking 20 million followers. Kai is the first person to hit the 20-million follower mark, and that standing maintains his position just ahead of popular streaming rival Ibai.
Kai Cenat’s
recent Mafiathon on Twitch
wrapped up in September as one of his biggest triumphs to date. Over just 30 days, he reached a staggering count of one million subscribers, absolutely shattering his previous Mafiathon record of 700,000 subs. Despite the milestone and a star-studded lineup of guests, however, he wasn’t quite able to crack the 20-million follower mark that no Twitch streamer had ever been able to reach.
Now, almost two months after the Mafiathon 3, the streamer has done it again, establishing a new record for himself and setting a new bar for streamers on the platform.

Surprisingly, Kai Cenat broke the record at a time when he wasn’t even streaming on Twitch. His last broadcast was in October, over a month ago, and he’s been on a break ever since following the intense effort that went into Mafiathon. During this hiatus, he has still managed to gain more than 300,000 new followers, a feat that’s impressive enough on its own.
It’s worth noting that while
several streamers
have surpassed Kai in active subscriber counts during his break from streaming on Twitch, Kai Cenat still holds the title for the most-subscribed Twitch channel of all time. With an eye-watering 1,112,947 subscribers, no one has come even close to matching his gaudy peak number. The story shifts a bit, though, when it comes to overall followers.
At the time of writing, Kai Cenat and
Ibai
are still nearly tied, with Ibai rapidly closing in at 19.8 million followers. If Kai maintains his current growth pace, he may retain the title for a long time to come.
