Now, Kai Cenat has generated millions of views, likes, and shares on TikTok by recreating a viral moment from his and Speed’s Minecraft marathon.
What is the La Peace meme?
This meme originated in Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s 2026 Minecraft Hardcore marathon. During the livestream, Speed thought he had found diamonds, but Kai corrected the YouTuber that it was lapis. However, the comedic part was Kai pronouncing lapis as La Peace. Speed was confused and asked Kai whether it was related to ancient Greece.
Viewers, on the other hand, found the mispronunciation hilarious, creating a meme featuring Kai Cenat as an elderly monk. The meme quickly gained traction, with several edited versions appearing, with one thing in common in all of them. They feature the word La Peace and an old monk with a long, flowing, white beard.
The meme is also ironic because it portrays Kai as a calm and peace-loving monk or philosopher; this is the exact opposite of the Twitch streamer, who is known to be loud and chaotic. Kai Cenat cosplays as La Peace, goes viral
The Twitch streamer started his broadcast by showing viewers a calm and serene lake view before revealing himself dressed as La Peace. Soothing music played in the background, embracing the backstory of La Peace being an enlightened monk. Kai then sat with his guard, talking about how he needs to find La Peace in his heart and the world. He elaborated that once you find La Peace, you will likely everything else. The creator took just the two words La Peace and essentially built an entire stream’s content around it elaborately.
Kai Cenat even went to a park, started mining lapis in Minecraft, while repeating “It’s La Peace”. This particular action was clipped by several creators and shared on social media, with some X posts even racking upwards of 3 million views. The Twitch streamer also created a Minecraft biome where the trees were made out of lapis.
Kai Cenat’s La Peace TikTok reportedly crossed 9 million likes, 200k comments, and 2 million shares within 24 hours. The viral La Peace TikTok also followed Speed into a stream, and the YouTuber got annoyed when his chat kept repeating La Peace, telling them to stop.
Kai Cenat’s La Peace stream also featured the tag “Mafiathon,” which has led to several people speculating that the creator may be hinting at another upcoming subathon.
