Kai Cenat breaks another record, becomes most followed Twitch streamer
Kai Cenat breaks another record, becomes most followed Twitch streamer
Popular content creator Kai Cenat’s spree of breaking records continues, with him now becoming the most followed streamer on Twitch on the last day of his month-long Mafiathon 3 event.
Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon events have become a staple of Twitch streaming, with the streamer bringing in popular celebrities and setting new records along the way. The content creator apparently didn’t even want to do Mafiathon 3 at one point, but changed his mind after the success of his Streamer University event. It’s good that Kai Cenat found that motivation because he has just set another Twitch record by becoming the most followed streamer ever on the platform.
How many Twitch followers does Kai Cenat have?
At the time of this writing, Kai Cenat had more than 19.76 million followers on Twitch, which made him the most-followed streamer on Twitch.
Spanish-speaking steamer Ibai Llanos Garatea became the most-followed Twitch streamer in July 2025 after setting a
new Twitch viewership record
with his La Velada del Año V livestream. Ibai accomplished this feat by beating the previous record of fellow content creator Richard “Ninja” Tyler Blevins, who held the title of Twitch’s most-followed streamer for seven years.
Kai Cenat
Ibai is very popular, but he failed to hold on to the title of most-followed as Kai Cenat now wears the crown of Twitch’s most followed content creator. While Kai has secured this record, time will tell whether he can actually hold on to it. Numbers for both Kai and Ibai are constantly fluctuating, and Ibai may seek to reclaim his record with a renewed push.
Kai Cenat to star in movie with Kevin Hart
Stremer Kai Cenat revealed during his ongoing subathon event that he is currently filming a movie with Hollywood actor and comedian Kevin Hart, and even showed a teaser for the film during Mafiathon 3.
Kai Cenat had stated in a stream in April that he was filming a movie and playing the main character. Not much information was available at the time, but fans wished the streamer luck and expressed happiness that he was expanding beyond the confines of streaming.
Kai Cenat then announced the movie during the Mafiathon 3 with Kevin Hart while revealing the movie’s first teaser. Fan reaction was mostly positive. The release date for the film has yet to be confirmed, but the teaser mentioned it’s “coming soon.” We’ll just have to see if Kai can find any new records to break between now and then.
