Kai Cenat joins growing multistreaming trend, announces return
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has announced that he is ending his exclusivity with Twitch and will be multistreaming content following his recent return to livestreaming.
Kai Cenat has consistently streamed on Twitch since his streaming debut and has amassed over 20 million followers on the platform. This wasn’t for the lack of options, as the streamer had reportedly been offered a lucrative amount to stream on Kick in 2023. The American went on a months-long break in October 2025, but he is now
making his return not just on Twitch but also on YouTube.
Kai Cenat set to multistream on Twitch and YouTube
The Mafiathon streamer
announced that he would return on July 6, 2026, with Cenat also revealing that viewers will be able to watch his content on both Twitch and YouTube. As shown in the screenshot below, his comeback YouTube stream has already been scheduled, with the streamer set to go live, and viewers have started commenting, expressing their happiness.

Kai Cenat is returning to host his Streamer University 2026 event, and this makes the timing of his multistreaming optimal. The creator’s
Streamer University
is one of his more popular events, which garners a large number of viewers. This is a large part because of the presence of Kai Cenat, but the event’s participants also co-stream, increasing the viewership and online discourse.
Multistreaming analysis
Cenat’s decision isn’t unique, and many top creators have seen success by starting to multistream. Some prominent examples include Zach “Asmongold” Hoyt and
John “Tectone” Robertson. Both Twitch streamers started to multistream on Kick and experienced a massive
increase in their revenues.
The financial aspect is one of the biggest draws for streamers;
another benefit is the potentially larger viewer base thanks to content being broadcast on multiple platforms.
Kai Cenat had been offered a
multi-million dollar Kick deal
in the past when the platform was starting out.
The offer reportedly required Kai to exclusively stream on Kick, but there was no gambling clause.
Viewers have commented that the terms appeared to be good, but Cenat ultimately rejected the deal. The streamer may not have wanted to be bound to a single platform, or Kick’s reputation may have held him back, but regardless of his motivations, Kai Cenat is now trying his hand at mutlistreaming.
Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is the biggest streamer on YouTube and has a
significantly larger fan base than Kai Cenat. He also multistreams on Twitch and his success may well be inspiration for Cenat — his Twitch income is already massive, and with a substantial YouTube revenue his net worth and online fame can grow further.
