Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed Complete Their Gaming Gauntlet — Here’s How It Happened

Kai Cenat and Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. returned with another marathon, this time taking on a gaming gauntlet that required them to beat three different games. The duo made short work of the challenge, completing the gaming gauntlet in roughly 11 hours.

Speed and Kai’s recent Minecraft marathon was incredibly successful, even inspiring other creators to do the same. Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart and Rani “StableRonaldo” Netz announced their own Minecraft marathon with tighter rules after seeing Kai Cenat and Speed struggle. But Speed and Kai managed to finish their challenge shortly after. The pair has expressed their desire to do another marathon, and Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s gaming gauntlet started on August 20, 2026. The marathon was live on Speed’s YouTube channel and Kai’s Twitch channel.

There were rumors about which games Kai and Speed would play as soon as iShowSpeed scheduled his livestream. Fortnite, Roblox, and Rocket League were the rumored titles, but fans questioned how the streamers would beat those games, as they don’t have traditional endings.

Kai Cenat explained this before the gaming gauntlet began. He stated that they would choose one Roblox game that they had to beat. It was later revealed that they chose The Tower of Hell as the Roblox game. The two also needed to win three matches in a row in Rocket League, and they needed a Victory Royale in Fortnite. It’s important to note that both Rocket League and Fortnite require ranked wins.

Kai and Speed couldn’t end their marathon until they completed all three objectives. However, the gaming gauntlet is different from the Minecraft marathon, as the two streamers don’t have to complete all three objectives in a single run. Viewers questioned how long it would take the streamers to beat the three games, and even Roblox wished the two streamers good luck.

Some viewers suggested that Kai and Speed may find the Fortnite challenge to be harder than the other two, and may finish the Roblox and Rocket League parts easily. This was proven to be just speculation, as the duo ultimately completed the gaming gauntlet in relatively straightforward fashion.

The first major win Kai and Speed got in their marathon was when they completed The Tower of Hell in Roblox. It took the streamers five hours and 181 deaths, but it was the first game they played and eventually beat. There were several frustrating moments for Speed as he beat the game, but Kai didn’t reach the tower. Speed almost broke his gaming setup out of frustration, but the duo ultimately moved on to Rocket League. Speed and Kai got three back-to-back wins in Rocket League roughly eight hours into the marathon, moving on to Fortnite. The battle royale proved to be the fastest win, as they completed their objective in roughly three hours.

Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s two consecutive gaming marathons in August 2026 have displayed that the streamers can still compete and haven’t forgotten their roots after moving on to other niches. Speed is more known for his larger-scale IRL streams, and Kai Cenat has also been hosting events such as Streamer University. Fans tuned in to Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s gaming gauntlet in large numbers, and it seems probable that they will collaborate again for future events.
