What we know about the Kai Cenat and Gigi break-up
Streaming giant Kai Cenat has now confirmed he’s single, mere days after rumors surfaced claiming his girlfriend Gigi had been unfaithful. Here’s what we know so far about the reported split between Cenat and Gabrielle “Gigi” Alayah.
In 2024, Kai Cenat celebrated his birthday with a major update about his personal life, revealing that he was dating popular influencer Gabriella “Gigi” Alayah. She later appeared in several streams, including a viral moment in which she brought him a Spider-Man–themed birthday cake. Fans were happy to see Cenat in a seemingly happy relationship, but after roughly a year together, the pair have now split.
On December 28, Kai Cenat shared an update on social media, confirming that he’s now single. And while it could have signified a simple relationship update, the tone of the full post suggests things between the pair didn’t end on good terms.
What happened between Kai Cenat and Gigi?
Kai Cenat’s announcement came just one day after rumors spread claiming Gigi had cheated on him with NBA YoungBoy. She later made a post of her own, hinting that those allegations may have played a role in the break-up between her and the award-winning streamer.

On December 27, DJ Akademiks made a bold claim during his livestream alleging that Gigi was cheating on Kai Cenat with rapper NBA YoungBoy. Earlier in July, Cenat had reacted to YoungBoy’s album, giving it a 6.5 out of 10 and calling it “mid.” Fans had already suspected bad blood between the two ever since, and the cheating rumors only stoked the fire.
Those rumors didn’t really carry any weight until Kai Cenat posted his story confirming the breakup. In that same post, he also claimed he’d never get into another relationship again.
Fans could smell the beef from a mile away, and it was later confirmed when Gigi posted her own Instagram story shortly after.
“I left, now you wanna get on the internet and rush to paint a false narrative about a FAKE Twitter post is insane. I’ve never cheated on you, and YOU know that. I have never dealt with that man… play that sympathetic role somewhere else pls,” Gigi posted.
This is the first time Kai and Gigi have been dragged into public drama, mainly because they kept their relationship fairly low-profile. The only major flare-up before this was when Gigi’s mother publicly accused Cenat of pulling her daughter away from her family. Gigi addressed the situation at the time, while Kai remained notably quiet.
Kai Cenat’s 2025 has been a major year for his career, earning the title of the most-watched Twitch streamer, but it hasn’t come without a few personal setbacks along the way.
Kai Cenat recently talked about how getting into anime has helped him deal with rough patches, and this timing isn’t exactly ideal. The break-up is now out in the open, and fans will be watching to see how both handle things moving forward.
