Kai Cenat names his favorite anime while on streaming break

Kai Cenat has made clear that his recent break from streaming was in service to his mental health, and in his latest discussion around the subject, the streamer has shared how and why watching his favorite anime has helped him.
Kai recently turned 24, and rather than hosting a celebratory stream as he did last year, he marked the occasion by sharing a video on social media discussing his personal struggles. While most of his fans received his message warmly, post sparked a negative response from a few of his fellow streamers, with parts of that reaction being a dismissal his mental health concerns.
Kai Cenat has since addressed that backlash and spoken about what has been helping him cope during this streaming break, including his new favorite anime shows.

The streamer addressed the backlash on social media he’d encountered after sharing details about his personal struggles and resulting break from streaming, saying he now understands why many people avoid speaking openly about these topics. In a series of posts, Kai Cenat said he had become so consumed by streaming that he hadn’t realized how little time he was spending with friends and family.
Kai Cenat has been on a long streaming break, and he’s shared that he’s been spending that time watching his favorite anime, among other things. According to the most-followed Twitch streamer, these shows have helped him take his mind off things by taking him “into another world” that he can still relate to.
He also shared the lessons he’s learned from Naruto, which he called his current personal favorite anime. Talking about Naruto, the streamer shared an image from the Land of Waves story arc showing Kaiza sitting with Inari by the fire after Kaiza had saved Inari from drowning. He pointed to the moment while discussing what it taught him about friendship and showing up for others.
Besides Naruto, Kai also praised Death Note as being a show that truly entertained him with both its story and ripping soundtrack.
The streamer opened the post by saying that he expected to be clowned in response to his share, but the response from fans has been largely positive.

This also isn’t the first time Kai Cenat has talked about anime. At the recent Streamer Awards, he mentioned that he’d been watching Death Note, making it clear that this isn’t a brand new interest. Even so, fans still filled the comments with recommendations on what he should watch next.
His response follows the backlash he recently faced from streamers such as RaKai and Myron, among others, after he shared a birthday video talking about mental health. Some dismissed his struggles because of his great success and vast wealth, while others questioned his sincerity in his messaging.
Kai Cenat has continued a break from streaming that’s now nearing three months long. His Instagram had already shown him spending time reading, and the recent posts suggest he’s also been getting into new anime. There’s still no word on when he might return to streaming, but for now, a comeback doesn’t seem close at hand.
