Kai Cenat announces Mafiathon 3 starting soon, here's when it begins

Prominent Twitch steamer Kai Cenat has informed fans that he’s ready to start his newest month-long marathon event, Mafiathon 3, and has revealed its start date.
Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon streaming marathon events have become a staple for his fans, as the streamer tries to go above and beyond with each new iteration of the event. The streamer has done everything from announcing the Mafiathon 2 in a trailer featuring Kim Kardashian to bringing in multiple high-profile celebrities as collaborators. There have also been plenty of controversies and drama in the events to keep viewers glued to their screens and to keep the focus squarely on Kai.
Mafiathon 2 ended in December 2024, but Kai Cenat didn’t waste time and, that same month, promised his fans that his streaming marathon would return bigger and better before long. Kai put on Mafiathon 2 to beat vtuber Ironmouse’s Twitch sub record, so fans were expecting he’d wait for his current record to be broken before beginning another edition. But those fans are in for a surprise. In August, Kai Cenat announced the highly anticipated Marathon 3 after a brief break from streaming, stating that the marathon would be a part of his return.
When will Mafiathon 3 begin?
Kai Cenat announced that Mafiathon 3 will begin on September 12.
Streamer Kai Cenat returned to streaming after a break of approximately three weeks, with the return stream bringing in a peak over 150,000 concurrent viewers. Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 announcement featured drones, and the streamer stated that the subathon would begin in his next stream on September 12. The previous iteration of the event, Mafiathon 2, helped Kai Cenat gain over 700,000 Twitch subscriptions. Kai Cenat still holds that record, and no other streamer has even come close to dethroning him. Now he’s ready for a brand-new subathon, and perhaps some new records to break.

Rumors are circulating that Kai Cenat’s third Mafiathon will also be the last such event. While unconfirmed by the streamer, many viewers are speculating that the streamer will go out with a bang this time around, and that Kai will likely follow the same format that he used for the previous two Mafiathon events, which has earned him significant fame. The month-long subathon will feature special events, and viewers will see other streamers and celebrities appear along the way.
When Cenat reduced his public presence drastically in June, fans wondered what exactly he was up to. He surprised fans in August by tweeting that he was getting his own official Fortnite skin and also informing viewers of an upcoming major announcement. In his return stream, the streamer explained he was away from streaming and social media because of preparations for Mafiathon 3.
Fans are divided on the streamer’s Fortnite skin, but are happy about his upcoming subathon. Many hope that Mafiathon 3 is a massive success and that Kai Cenat returns with another subathon in the future, rather than making this the final one.
