Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed Minecraft Marathon Completed — Here Are the Highlights and What’s Next
Kai Cenat and Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. have completed their latest Minecraft Hardcore marathon by defeating the four required bosses in a single run.
Fans were excited when Kai and Speed finally announced another Minecraft marathon, as they had been waiting for two years for a follow-up event. However, their excitement soon turned into skepticism when they heard what the requirements and rules for the marathon were, with some requirements that made completing it look difficult. Despite this, fans tuned in to the marathon in large numbers to watch Kai and Speed continue to die. This changed on the fifth day of the marathon when Kai and Speed defeated one boss, then another, and continued until all four were dead.

Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed proved everyone wrong by completing the Minecraft marathon
The consensus among many viewers and other creators was that Kai and Speed may not be able to complete their marathon, as killing the four bosses was seemingly a challenging task for the duo. They died multiple times and were playing relatively badly, which increased the feeling that they wouldn’t be able to complete the event. However, Kai and Speed proved everyone wrong and turned on the skill at the right time to complete the challenge. The two streamers were surprised that they finished it so soon, revealing that they had cleared their schedule for the month.
Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart, who has announced his own Minecraft marathon, watched Kai and Speed defeat the final boss, celebrating with the duo. Kai and iShowSpeed didn’t complete the marathon easily and had to take the help of Minecraft speedrunner Matthew “Feinberg” Feinberg, who gave them useful information about enchantments. Many viewers commented that Kai and Speed were helped substantially by the max-enchantment armor, and they were using iron armor initially, which was leading to them taking heavy damage.
A major point occurred when Speed fell into the lava after defeating three bosses, and everyone thought it was game over. However, Speed’s Totem of Undying helped him come back with just half a heart, and the duo ended up defeating the final boss, Ender Dragon. Cenat and iShowSpeed ended the marathon with a 1v1, where Speed lost. The two also celebrated the conclusion by dancing together. Finally, they pushed Jamal into the pool for trolling them during the entirety of the Minecraft marathon, but the atmosphere was overwhelmingly one of joy and relief — the event was streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

Kai and iShowSpeed were trolled extensively by Jamal during their Minecraft marathon. While many viewers found this to be hilarious, both of the streamers and some of the fans were getting annoyed by the consistent jokes. Jamal even went as far as to delete a Minecraft world after Speed and Kai had made decent progress. This upset viewers and the streamers, who thought Kai and Speed would need to restart the game again. However, it turned out that Jamal deleted a random world and was just trolling the duo.
Speed and Kai discussed returning with another gaming marathon next month, with Ark Survival and Elden Ring coming up during their talk. Nothing is confirmed right now, and it’s unclear whether the two streamers will stream another event anytime soon; for reference, they initially did a Minecraft marathon and returned with another roughly two years later. Fans joked that if the two stick to the same schedule, viewers are in for a long wait.
