Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s Marathon Trailer Released: Format, Date, and More

Twitch star Kai Cenat and massive IRL YouTuber iShowSpeed have released the trailer for their upcoming gaming marathon, revealing the game they’ll play, the starting date, and other key details.

Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed previously collaborated in a 2024 Minecraft marathon stream that lasted for a couple of days and reportedly generated almost 19 million watch hours. Fans have been eagerly awaiting another marathon, and Kai Cenat announced that he’s trying to work out the specifics with Speed.

iShowSpeed revealed during a FIFA World Cup 2026 livestream that the marathon had been finalized and he would reunite with Kai Cenat during the first week of August. More details were shared by both Kai and Speed — and now the trailer has been released, revealing other information before the marathon starts.

When and where to watch Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s marathon?

The marathon trailer revealed that Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed will go live on August 7. It’s unclear at this time how long the marathon will last, but Speed previously stated that it may go on for as long as 14 days. Kai Cenat also stated in a recent stream that this marathon will be his and Speed’s longest ever.

The trailer didn’t state where the marathon will be streamed, but Speed is active on YouTube, so it is almost certain to be broadcast there. Kai, on the other hand, has been multistreaming content ever since he returned from his break. He even multistreamed his Streamer University 2026, so it’s likely he’ll also broadcast the marathon on both Twitch and YouTube.

The trailer for the crossover marathon was intriguing, with both Speed and Kai seen inside a Minecraft simulation. Kai was significantly overwhelmed, questioning how they’d be able to finish the marathon. This makes sense given the fact that their previous Minecraft marathon took five days to complete.

Brittany “Cinna” Lynn Watts commented on the trailer, telling her viewers she knows they’ll continue watching Cinnathon and have no reason to watch Kai and Speed’s marathon. Rani “StableRonaldo” Netz reacted to Cinna, joking, “we’re not watching you” and that she’s “annoying.” Din “Agent 00” Muktar and StableRonaldo also reacted to Speed and Kai’s marathon, both claiming that the streamers will likely be unable to complete it. StableRonaldo even went as far as to claim that he’ll do another Minecraft marathon if Kai and Speed fail in 30 days. He also conceded that, while he’ll attempt it, he’ll also likely quit.

What to expect from Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed’s marathon?

Kai and iShowSpeed’s previous marathon was relatively smaller compared to the upcoming one, with them only defeating Ender Dragon, yet it still took them five days to complete. This upcoming marathon will task the two streamers with defeating every Minecraft Hardcore boss, including Ender Dragon, The Wither, Elder Guardian, and The Warden. This is why Kai appeared overwhelmed in the trailer, and also a reason for other creators thinking he and Speed won’t be able to complete the marathon.

It remains to be seen how Kai and Speed fare in the epic event, but one thing is clear: the two will create many memorable moments. Fans have been waiting for a second marathon by the two, and it’s finally here. The general consensus within the community is that defeating every single boss in a single run is substantially difficult for even hardcore Minecraft players. If Speed and Kai manage to do well but die, then the run will restart, which means it’ll take them significantly longer, and they have never defeated some of the bosses, which means they are learning as they play.

The most viral one would have been how successful Jacob “SuburbBaby” Ogunlade became. Several creators participating in the event also got millions of watch hours and substantially high peak viewers.

This is why it’s likely that this upcoming event will bring in more viewers and set new records.
