Brian Jesse Kick

Brian Jesse is one of the most popular online content creators based in Japan, and he has now joined Kick, highlighting the livestreaming platform’s continued growth around the world.

Brian Jesse currently boasts over 3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, but he initially began his career by making videos on Vine until the app was shut down. The content creator then transitioned to creating clips on YouTube, focusing on comedy and entertainment. This strategy proved very successful for him, as Jesse has amassed significant fame with his comedic timing and rapid speech on his videos, which frequently go viral among Japanese audiences.

Brian Jesse has now made a move that may help him expand his streaming career and digital reach even further by signing on with Kick.

Brian Jesse goes live on Kick for first time

Japanese YouTuber streamed his first live broadcast on Kick on December 8, and he has already revealed that he plans to return to the livestreaming platform.

Brian Jesse is notably famous for his shorter videos, which rack up millions of views, but he has now officially made the transition to being a traditional streamer broadcasting long-form videos to live audiences. This news first broke when the Kick Japan X account welcomed the streamer to the platform, and Brian retweeted the tweet straight away. Kick’s co-founder Bijan Tehrani also welcomed the streamer aboard in Japanese.

Brian Jesse was quick to begin his Kick journey, broadcasting his debut stream on the same day. He also tweeted that he enjoyed streaming on Kick, and expressed his intentions to “do it again soon.”

Brian Jesse hasn’t officially announced whether he will stream exclusively on Kick, multistream on Kick, or stream separately on both YouTube and the Stake-backed livestreaming platform. While his exact plans for future videos remain unconfirmed, it seems likely that the streamer would continue his YouTube activities as usual while also streaming live on Kick. He has 3 million YouTube subscribers who follow him for his shorter reels and videose. Kick, on the other hand, is meant for longer streams broadcast live, given Brian a new way to reach and interact with his audience.

Fa’ reactions to the news have been largely positive, with many expressing their happiness at being able to see Brian doing Just Chatting streams on Kick rather than just posting shorter videos to YouTube as has been the case to date.

The streaming community has also reacted to the news of such a large YouTuber from outside the English-speaking content creation world joining up with Kick. Kick has already surpassed Twitch in Spanish-speaking viewership, and many are speculating that Kick is now seeking to spread that success across a broader variety of languages around the world.

Japanese streaming is a diverse space that includes not only traditional streamers like Brian Jesse, but also vtubers, streamers who don virtual personas in order to interact with viewers. Whether Kick has any plans to invest into that particular corner of the streaming space remains to be seen.
