Jack Doherty Kick unban

Controversial streamer and content creator Jack Doherty was banned from streaming platform Kick in 2024 and again in 2025, but the platform has now seemingly unbanned him, sparking a variety of reactions from around the streaming community.

Jack Doherty is a content creator who has regularly been in the limelight for his popular videos and questionable actions both on- and off-stream. These have included his being arrested in a Miami hotel, being sued after his bodyguard allegedly punched someone during a party, and other dramatics involving fellow streamers.

The streamer was banned from Kick following a driving incident that took place live on stream, and many at the time commended the platform for taking such swift and definitive action. Kick has now overturned what was once thought to be a permanent ban for Jack Doherty, bringing the streamer back to the center of attention once again.

Streaming community reacts to Kick unbanning Jack Doherty

Jack Doherty returned to Kick following his being unbanned, announcing his return on social media. Kick’s recent decision to unban Jack Doherty despite his history of rules violations and drama has been met with celebration from Doherty’s fans, but also by criticism from many around the streaming community.

Kick haven’t issued an official statement on the streamer’s return, and Jack Doherty only tweeted that was unbanned, something that can be verified by visiting his channel. The decision has already proven controversial online, even leading some to question whether Kick will start bringing back other permanently-banned content creators.

Some have commented with concern that the decision to unban Jack Doherty could set a bad precedent, while others have wondered why Doherty is being unbanned but not some other suspended streamers.

Why was Jack Doherty banned from Kick?

Jack Doherty’s Kick channel was seemingly permanently banned following the streamer going viral for livestreaming a car crash. This incident occurred in October 2024, with Jack Doherty driving his rcar on a Miami highway while looking at his phone. Doherty ultimately lost control of his car, crashing into the road’s guardrail. He then climbed out of his totaled car and continued to livestream despite the crash.

Community backlash was instantaneous, with many demanding he be arrested for putting other drivers potentially at risk and asking Kick to take action as well. Kick did take the incident seriously, banning Jack Doherty amid concerns about the streamer putting his cameraman, who was also in the car, in such danger.

Jack Doherty returned to Kick in 2025 when the platform reinstated his channel. The streamer was banned from Kick again within two weeks of being unbanned. This later ban was because the streamer got into a physical altercation during a Kick stream. It was unclear whether that ban was permanent, but many assumed that since Doherty was continuously breaking rules, Kick would keep his channel banned.

This assumption seems to have been proved incorrect, as Jack Doherty has now been unbanned around one year after that 2025 Kick ban.
