iShowSpeed continues his World Cup 2026 tour: Here's what he was up to during Portugal's match
IRL YouTuber iShowSpeed is continuing with his FIFA World Cup 2026 tour, with his latest broadcast covering the Portugal match, and the creator fanboying over his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
iShowSpeed announced his FIFA World Cup 2026 tour during his Caribbean Tour, which saw the creator
hit new milestones. The YouTuber began his new IRL livestreams as soon as the matches started, interacting with players and having an unexpected
encounter with NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani
at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
iShowSpeed also crossed paths with New York Knicks player Tyler Kolek. Several of Speed’s clips have gone viral, but the latest Portugal IRL livestream was more relatable for fans because of iShowSpeed’s inimitable expressions during the World Cup fixture.
iShowSpeed seemingly kicked from FOX set after saying Portugal would win the World Cup 2026
This was more of a joke skit than a serious getting kicked off, but iShowSpeed was invited to the FOX Sports World Cup broadcast set, where the YouTuber very loudly predicted that Portugal and specifically Cristiano Ronaldo would be the
World Cup winner. This triggered a reaction from the FOX Sports panel, and
iShowSpeed was jokingly moved away from the desk by Zlatan Ibrahimović. This was a comedic way to shut down iShowSpeed’s bold prediction, and the streamer wasn’t actually asked to leave, but the moment went viral, with many fans claiming it was disrespectful.

This incident happened before the Portugal vs DR Congo match, but the American YouTuber didn’t let it get in the way of his livestream and continued broadcasting in his usual way. The specific stream wasn’t focused on iShowSpeed interacting with football legends, like the
previous FIFA broadcast.
Instead, the creator was acting like a typical Ronaldo fanboy. Speed sang the Portugal national anthem and paid tribute to Diogo Jota before the match began. He even predicted that Portugal would beat DR Congo 3-1; as it turned out, the game ended in a surprise 1-1 draw. The streamer’s love for Ronaldo isn’t a hidden thing, and
a fan even gifted him a hand-painted Cristiano Ronaldo Vietnamese hat.
This latest broadcast resonated with fans on a more intimate level, because Speed was enjoying it as a fan himself. iShowSpeed even started a chant of “Ronaldo” when the crowd was apparently too quiet following a goal by Portugal. He was also questioned about Lionel Messi’s hat-trick against Algeria, and the creator shared his opinion, claiming: “It was a red card,” referring to a wild challenge by the forward in which he avoided being sent-off. Furthermore, iShowSpeed also seemingly converted a young Messi fan into a Ronaldo lover at the stadium.
This YouTube broadcast was different from the usual engagement-focused streams, and it was visible in the way Speed was talking and reacting. iShowSpeed also announced in the broadcast that
people in the USA can watch all the World Cup 2026 games on his YouTube channel,
showing the power of his reach globally.
