Darren Jason “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is considered the best streamer in the world across all platforms by many, and while he has consistently set new records proving why, iShowSpeed has now made it official by securing the Streamer of the Year award at The Streamer Awards 2025.

The year has been going quite well for iShowSpeed, with the streamer getting much acclaim for his IRL tours while achieving new milestones. He became the most-subscribed streamer in the world, beating the likes of popular streamer Kai Cenat and others considered from across all platforms, from Kick and Twitch to YouTube and beyond. The content creator also took on WWE star Randy Orton in a training bout. iShowSpeed has now added another accomplishment to his ever-growing list by winning the Streamer of the Year award.

iShowSpeed crowned Streamer of the Year award

Streamer iShowSpeed defeated the likes of Emily “ExtraEmily” Xuechun Zhang, Kai Cenat, and others to become the Streamer of the Year 2025 at The Streamer Awards.

Many fans and other streamers were speculating that iShowSpeed would be the winner when the nominations for the category were revealed. Betting site 1xBet even picked up on things and gave odds just for the Streamer of the Year category for The Streamer Awards event. The most favorable odds were for iShowSpeed, and it was broadly expected that he would be crowned the winner.

The ultimate win for the streamer wasn’t surprising for most, given how he has evolved and turned his career into a model for becoming arguably the most successful streamer across Twitch, Kick, YouTube, and any other streaming platform. Many fans commented that while he was going against tough competition popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, iShowSpeed is more broadly popular around the world, which puts him ahead of other content creators. This is in large part due to his worldwide IRL streaming, which was also cemented by him winning the Best IRL Streamer award at The Streamer Awards in 2024 and 2025.

iShowSpeed also addressed the crowd at The Streamer Awards, talking about his journey five years ago when he began streaming at 15 years old. The streamer stated that he “fell in love” with streaming instantly and has continued to create content for fans ever since. He expressed his intentions of continuing for the foreseeable future and also stated that next year will be even “crazier” than his banner year of 2025.

Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen secured the Streamer’s Choice Award, Maxwell Elliot “PlaqueBoyMax” Dent won for the Best Music Streamer, and ExtraEmily received the Best Stream Duo with Din “Agent” Muktar.
