iShowSpeed Set to Compete in State Farm Gamerhood: Here's Everything to Know
The world of Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is never dull or static. Having just finished a highly successful FIFA World Cup tour in the United States that saw him break records, the YouTuber is returning with another event — and this time he’ll compete against other streamers in State Farm Gamerhood.
Some fans had assumed that iShowSpeed would next be seen again in his upcoming
marathon stream with Kai Cenat, or head to Spain for an IRL tour, as he had mentioned the two things in his
last World Cup livestreams. However, both assumptions have proved wrong, as
iShowSpeed will now be seen in State Farm Gamerhood.
The teaser has just been released, showcasing the streamers that will participate and also revealing the date and time when it’ll begin.
What is State Farm Gamerhood?
State Farm Gamerhood is a creator-focused challenge where invited streamers compete in popular video games and real-world challenges. The event was inaugurated in 2022, and this year’s season will be the fifth installment. Gamerhood typically lasts multiple weeks, and the 2026 event will have five weekly episodes, with streamers completing challenges that will test their teamwork, adaptability, and personality. This is a growing trend, with
Ludwig’s Streamer Games also coming soon.

The episodes are produced similarly to reality shows, displaying the rivalries, alliances, and interactions of the contestants. This is why the social aspect of the challenge is as important as winning games. The past four seasons of Gamerhood have reportedly crossed 53 million views, and
the event is to be broadcast on both State Farm’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
iShowSpeed will compete against other popular streamers
Speed is arguably the biggest personality participating in Gamerhood, but the video revealed the five other streamers who will also compete in the event. These include Marlon “Mar3lg” Lundgren Garcia, Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen, Maxwell “PlaqueBoyMax” Elliot Dent, Emily “Emiru” Schunk, and Brittany “Cinna” Lynn Watts. All five creators are well-known and have a loyal fanbase, but it remains to be seen how they fare in the event.
The winner will be awarded 100,000 gifted Twitch subscriptions.
Gamerhood will begin on July 31, 6 PM ET, and will be free to watch on State Farm’s Twitch and YouTube account.
The event will continue throughout August, and it’s likely that the participants will also co-stream on their channels. This will give fans another way to watch and also provide the event with further exposure, not least with Speed’s loyal fanbase that saw him
reach 59 million subscribers
at the World Cup.
State Farm has also made a promotional roguelite game, Jake’s Neighborhood Swarm, which can be played for the duration of Gamerhood. The game is only available for US residents and winners will be selected each week to win a custom State Farm-themed Secretlab TITAN Evo chair.
