iShowSpeed begins World Cup 2026 tour, meets NYC mayor and football legends
Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. promised a memorable tour to mark the 2026 World Cup, and he has kicked-off with a star-packed stream during the Brazil vs Morocco match in New York.
iShowSpeed recently finished his Caribbean Tour, where he reportedly broke records and was also the
victim of viewbotting. However, fans have long been awaiting his World Cup content, and he appeared on matchday one at the New York New Jersey Stadium. His stream was a memorable one and saw him interact with tens of celebrities as well as football royalty.
iShowSpeed stole FIFA World Cup 2026’s spotlight
The American YouTuber is known to interact with fans, celebrities, and just about anyone in his IRL streams, and this FIFA broadcast was no different. iShowSpeed had a warm, wholesome moment with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and the two even shook hands, as shown in the stream screenshot below. If that’s not enough, attentive viewers caught the streamer allegedly stealing the mayor’s seat in the stadium.
That was the only politician Speed interacted with during his broadcast, but there were many more prominent names he interacted with. These include Ronaldo Nazário, Kaká, PSG CEO Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Roberto Carlos, and Paul Pogba. The streamer even had a friendly race with Travis Scott, easily beating him.

iShowSpeed was mobbed by fans, highlighting the remarkable scale of his global reach, while he also reached over 55 million subscribers, celebrating with a back flip. That’s not all; football legend
Kaká personally approached Speed’s suite to take a selfie with the creator, for his daughter.
The YouTuber was also featured in official FIFA broadcasts of the match, with clips going viral and Speed being talked about as much as the action on the pitch. That’s an amazing feat, as the World Cup is clearly one of the biggest event’s on earth.
In what has been a whirlwind start to the tournament, iShowSpeed’s catchy
Champions song
was added to the FIFA World Cup 2026 album and gained massive traction, surpassing millions in viewers. The song was even shared by popular footballers, such as Achraf Hakimi, further fueling its popularity.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani also used the song in an Instagram post after meeting Speed.

The YouTuber has an upcoming stream for the France vs Senegal World Cup match, indicating that he plans to
