iShowSpeed is a playable character in FIFA Heroes
Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. has been livestreaming his reaction to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but has upped the stakes even more, as he is being featured in FIFA’s new football game, FIFA Heroes.
iShowSpeed’s livestreaming of the FIFA World Cup 2026 took many fans by surprise, as FIFA is known to not tolerate copyright infringement. However, it was later revealed that he had a deal that allowed him to broadcast select matches and his own reactions at the tournament without being penalized.
The YouTuber didn’t stream alone and even
brought his dad and brother to multiple matches, highlighting their reactions and creating content. iShowSpeed has now collaborated with FIFA once again, and this time it’s for FIFA Heroes.
What is FIFA Heroes?
FIFA Heroes is a 5v5 arcade-style football game that focuses on quick matches. It isn’t similar to the realism of other football titles like EA Sports FC but instead has short 90-second matches with arcade-like mechanics.
These over-the-top mechanics with superpowers include ones that can freeze opponents or shield goals with invisible barriers. There is also a PvP option, where players can compete to increase their ranking.

Players can select different heroes from the roster, each offering unique powers, playstyles, and strengths. FIFA Heroes also has a Season Pass that unlocks exclusive content, such as avatars, emojis, and balls. The game has initially been rolled out for Android and iOS, which is logical given the mobile-first gameplay style. The announcement revealed that PC and console versions are planned for “later this summer.”
iShowSpeed isn’t just featured in FIFA Heroes as a cameo, and the YouTuber is a full-fledged player that gamers can select and play as. This isn’t surprising given that Speed’s craze for football isn’t hidden. He even made a
song for the World Cup 2026, which FIFA added to the official album.
The IRL YouTuber
is also currently livestreaming the World Cup 2026 after partnering with Fox, FIFA, and YouTube. FIFA Heroes is also using iShowSpeed’s popularity to its advantage by advertising with the streamer. The X announcement featured Speed with the YouTuber showing off that he’s on the game’s cover, and he is also shown on the game’s website.

iShowSpeed’s obsession with Ronaldo and his over-the-top contagious energy are two of the most fan-beloved elements of the streamer. It’s fun to see how they translate into the game and how fans react. Speed may not be a pro football player, but he is currently synonymous with the World Cup. And with almost all of his recent content related to the World Cup, this makes the perfect time to make this announcement.
