iShowSpeed claims to be the first to livestream underwater
iShowSpeed claims to be the first to livestream underwater
Darren “iShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is currently on his Caribbean Tour, and the popular IRL YouTuber did an underwater livestream, which he claims made history by being the first.
iShowSpeed only announced
his Caribbean Tour
recently, and the IRL stream has already begun. One of the first things the streamer did was hand out free meals to 150 people at Chefette in Barbados, and visited a location that was apparently Rihanna’s house. Both of these actions went viral, with giving away food being commended, and Rihanna’s alleged house becoming a source of controversy. iShowSpeed doesn’t let doesn’t let anything kill his vibe though, and he has now also gone viral for livestreaming underwater.
iShowSpeed livestreamed Grenada’s underwater sculpture park
The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a popular diving spot in Grenada, and iShowSpeed chose the site after getting his scuba diving license. The streamer was excited and
exclaimed that he may be the first to livestream underwater. While that’s being debated online, it’s true that he was the first to livestream the underwater collection of sculptures created by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor.

iShowSpeed’s fans wanted to see marine life, particularly sharks, but the streamer surprised viewers by showing them statues. This specific stream was unique because
this may be one of the few times when iShowSpeed wasn’t engaging with his viewers. It wasn’t for the lack of trying, as he did try to converse with chat by writing on a board, but his broadcast was mostly viewers seeing iShowSpeed swimming.
Twitch gave iShowSpeed a shoutout on X for his unique livestream, and viewers have also reacted. iShowSpeed is no doubt
one of the biggest streamers
to livestream underwater, but the community has pointed out that creators like EvanAndKatelyn — and even projects like EVNautilus — accomplished the same feat years ago. Regardless,
iShowSpeed ended the scuba diving session with a promise that it won’t be the last, and fans will see more underwater fun during the tour.
iShowSpeed’s Caribbean Tour has been a massive success to date, with viewers tuning in in large numbers, and the streamer engaging IRL fans in his signature high-energy manner. Having
recently appeared at Wrestlemania, Speed still has a number of stops to make on his current travels, and there will likely be more content that goes viral in the coming days.
